In the play-off places (6th) in League One. I'm not sure what the history is between Evans and the board or what the expectations are, but maybe it's one of those where there's more than meets the eye with this sacking, and it's not just to do with on-field results. Although having looked at it, they'd only won 3 of their last 15 matches...

Before the season, Steve Evans said on Sky Sports News he doubted whether Marcelo Bielsa was the right man to manage in the Championship at Leeds, and whether he had the know how to go to Rotherham on a Tuesday night and get a win.

Today, Bielsa took his team to Rotherham and won to stay top of the table. Steve Evans meanwhile, got the sack.

Cheers for your thoughts Steve. Goodbye.

It wasn't Tuesday night.
