It's dire isn't it, though I've not seen the incident in question, it is getting more and more the case that 75 minutes out of every 90 minute match is made up of players trying to buy fouls in midfield by getting their body between their opponent and the ball and flinging themselves over, the opposite team arguing for a bit with the ref, the free kick getting taken, cleared, and the other side returning the favour and starting the cycle again. Absolute shite viewing.

Kieran Trippier just went down holding his face because someone’s elbow was near it...red stops play for head injury. Can’t blame the ref but Trippier will face no punishment
