Well, having defeated Schalke quite handily this past weekend, another matchup could spell trouble. The good news is that Gladbach is catching them at the best time. Schalke has struggled as of late, whereas Mönchengladbach has played really well recently.

I'll predict a win for Gladbach by the score of 3-1.

Will be watching this in the U.K.  I'm hoping for a Schalke win but as said previously, the form ain't good just now. The one shred of hope does come from form in the Europa league seemed a bit better than the league.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻

What absolute shit - Rafael is taking on 2 defenders, they basically tackle him, but the ref doesn't call it. Schalke takes the ball and scores.....Absolutely Poor job on the ref there.

1-1.

play the whistle

Schalke did and took advantage. Well played I'd say 👏🏻👏🏻

Play the whistle yes, but blow the damn whistle when their is an obvious foul. The ref gave out two soft yellows (one for each team) early on, and has been awful since. Missing another call on Fabian when the defender clearly didn't play the ball, but took out Johnson.

I'll take a 1-1 with the away goal, but this ref is seriously blowing harder than a porn star.

Tbf I don't think the ref will look back on this game with any fondness.

Agreed. He's missed calls for both teams.

Schalke almost score in the 76th minute...

First Half - We controlled the majority of play. Still think Schalke were lucky to get their goal since IMO it was an obvious foul that lead to the take away and following goal.

Second Half - Schalke brought the pressure and were clearly the more attacking team. We are lucky to get out of this 1-1, and now have a slight advantage heading into the second tie.

Quite happy about us getting out a point in a difficult tie, we just need now not to fuck it up. At this point this is the most important competition for us.

Willikommen!

I absolutely agree. We have to proceed at home.
