That part in bold, is solely down to the players being unmotivated with Sarri's tactics. A large chunk of these players are too limited to thrive in his system. When things go wrong, they will blame the manager. We've seen it before. This isn't something Sarri can override and expect success. Mourinho and Conte both failed on that matter and their stubbornness cost them their job. For the sake of Sarri's job, which entirely falls on making top 4, I can't see how adding fuel to the fire will be more beneficial than to put this in the past and adapt his style to suit the players at his disposal (like we saw against City) and keep moral high. Make no mistake, come the summer, I want these degenerates gone. If the board back the same under performers instead of Sarri and his targets, then there is a justifiable cause for Sarri to simply walk away. Caballero can't kick a ball.

Right. A real opportunity to show who's boss to a team filled with players who are notoriously known for reacting bad to authority. That'll save Sarri his job. Reacting on emotion and throwing your toys out the pram, is nonsense. Why should Sarri bench him for an vastly inferior keeper in Caballero? Not only that, by why would he do that at the risk of damaging the team's moral? Sarri's job is on the line if we don't finish Top 4 or Win the Europa. Why would he make his job harder? Would it not make sense to put this behind us, build off of the performance against City and prepare for Spurs tomorrow night? Again. It's evident this team has an abundance of players who feel they are above the club. Sarri needs to do what he can do secure Top 4 to save his job. We will then see who the club will truly back. The players or the manager.

He is instrumental for us. His distribution is essential in our system. Far from a top keeper, however he is fairly reliable in net. Caballero has no distribution and is suspect in net. There is a reason he hardly even features in the cup games. His only saving grace is his ability to read players from the penalty spot. You honestly think it would be in the best interest of the club for Sarri to throw his toys out the pram and bench him for a month? In that month, we have Spurs + Wolves at home, and Everton away. We need to be getting 9/9 points and having Caballero in net for those fixtures will handicap us and will ultimately make Sarri's job harder. What Kepa did wasn't right. He's been fined a weeks wages and the situation has been taken care of. IMO things are being blown out of proportion. Kepa isn't one to down tools or show a shite mentality. He wanted to finish off his first ever cup final. Player power is an issue, but one that shouldn't be dealt with right now. Sarri has realised it's best to move on from this vs bench Kepa at the risk of the entire team moral being dropped given Sarri is yet again showing authority. Top 4 or Europa makes our season. Come the summer, we will truly know who the board will back. Will they drop the under performers in favor of Sarri's targets? Or Will they offer new contracts to the same ageing under performers, notoriously known for downing tools? If the latter, I fear for the future of this club.

I remember as a child, my grandmother took me to a shop and purchased a rabbit. I befriended that rabbit and thought my grandmother got it as a gift for me. The next day, it was gone. It was an awkward situation. Don't think any of our players experienced anything like that before. Hence the confused looks all around. Azpilicueta, Rudiger, and Luiz are the only players on the pitch you can realistically put a 'leader' tag on them. But even then, they are still minuscule to our legendary spine character wise. Azpilicueta led by example, except it hasn't saved him this season performance wise. Luiz had Terry, Lamps, and Drogba looking out for him, and Rudiger is still fairly new to the team. Not one of them knew how to handle the situation.

Azpilicueta will always make sure his 'pals' are taken care of vs the best interest of the club. Just when it looked like we have taken a step forward, more bollocks takes us two steps back. Going to be an interesting end of the season and summer.

The Drinkwater signing alone should of been enough to warrant a sack. But the real travesty there, is that going into that season, we knew we had to strengthen our wingbacks (Alonso & Moses). Manchester City got Walker, Mendy, and Danilo done before August. We signed fucking Zappacosta on deadline day and got Emerson who was still recovering from ACL surgery that following January. Such incompetence.

If you'd ask me a month ago, I'd say a definite no. However, in recent events Sarri has shown far too much stubbornness. From his in game management to his continuous use of under performing players. Still, in the grand scheme of things and long term vision of the club, I would still say we need him. This was never going to be an easy season with all things considered.

As stated, there is no clear vision or identity in the club. This is down to not having a director of football. For years we have operated this way, and we found success mainly because of two very important reasons. 1. The market wasn't as inflated as it is now. 2. Our spine kept the team in tact, despite the manager merry go round. When the club doesn't believe in having a certain identity or style in how the team should play, it's evident they have no idea in targeting which players that can fit this non-existent system. That said, Gourlay and Kenyon at least knew what they wanted to do to properly structure the club. They identified elite targets and got it done quickly. So it's no coincidence that as soon as they leave, and this Marina lass is appointed, we have seen a drastic change in how we operate in the transfer window.

That is 100% down to not having a director of football. No vision or identity.

Who would you get rid?

I'd like him to stay, but it's come to a point where if Sarri gets sacked, but Willian, Alonso, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Pedro, Luiz, etc go with him. Then I'll press that button right now. Team needs a massive overhaul more than anything.

I'm inclined to believe he will be gone if we lose to Spurs Wednesday. Final nail on the coffin however if we get knocked out of Europa.

Christensen is all right. Wish he had a decent run of games, but he's disappointed when given the opportunity. I'd like to see Dave at CB over RB.

Pepe from Lille. Exciting young winger that has pace and end product. What we lack at the moment is technical ability and end product. You look at Higuain, Lozano, Sarabia, and Pepe, and all you see is end product from them. Upgrade the fullbacks to fast pace defenders who contribute both going forward and defensively. That right there solves two of our biggest issues. Jovic is the next big thing atm. I believe Barca are keen to sign him.

Obviously won't ever happen, but here's what I would do. Sell: Giroud, Willian, Drinkwater, Alonso, Zappacosta, Hazard, Odoi, and Luiz.
