  1. I'm not sure if Jean Lucas can become an adequate full-back, but if he does, adding this versatility would be huge for his career prospect. There is a huge talent scarcity at that position. I read that Barça was looking to offer Emerson in a Depay deal. Juninho should definitely take him if he's indeed offered. Emerson is a good player.
  2. Chelsea fans, I´m curious, what do you think the objectives should be for this new season? What would you guys consider as a success or a failure?
  3. Just another day in brazilian football.
  4. Official, Bravo to Betis. Who will be City's sub goalkeeper?
  5. Manchester City is already putting in motion a plan to sign Messi.
  6. Putting your hands in the air has become a natural reflex for brazilians.
  7. Northern Brazil is really dangerous. There's also been there a sense of lawlessness in that part of Brazil. The government is not equipped to put a firm grip there, considering the distances and how remote that region is. It's okay, unless it's matchday for Corinthians or São Paulo. In that case, you shouldn't even wear green if you need to take the subway.
  8. Greater than in São Paulo. I now I live in a small town, so it's much safer here. My dad almost died when I was 16, when a robber shot him in the chest.
  9. It was -1 where I live. It's really cold in the winter here in Southern Brazil. This is from yesterday, in Santa Catarina, the state where I live, it was snowing. I support Athletico Paranaense, a team from Curitiba, my hometown. The team I despise the most in Brazil is Flamengo.
  10. Man, it certain looks like the Messi's rumours have legs. Messi told Koeman that he is still uncertain about his future and that at the moment he sees himself more out than in at Barcelona.
  11. I like him. Unfortunately, Odair is just too much of a negative coach.
  12. Yes. Tough break for Inter and Guerrero. He was playing great football and with Coudet they looked strong enough got contend for national title. But this injury ends their chances. Losing its best and most irreplaceable player. A shame really.
  13. Arthur is a huge disappointment on and off the pitch. If he doesn't change his attitude quickly, he could very well end up returning to Grêmio by the next year.
  14. Knowing Barcelona well, what will happen is that the board will take another loan, sign Neymar to convince Messi to stay and pretend eveything is fine.
  15. Just saw that on Twitter. According to Bechler, a source from inside Barcelona told him Messi wants to move immediately from Barcelona. Apparently, Messi is very upset and doesn't trust the board's project for Barcelona. Barcelona is one of the most political clubs in the world, so I'd take this news with a grain of salt. Perhaps, those rumours were leaked to the press in order to put pressure on Bartomeu and force him to antecipate the Barcelona's presidential election. Having said that, If I recall correctly I think it was Graham Hunter who recently mentioned that Messi was considering a move to MLS and had already a sort of an agreemeent with David Beckham to join Inter Miami.
  16. Bale during the Madrid match yesterday. At this point, he´s just doing this to annoy Madrid fans and I love the man for it.
  17. So, what's Willian's place in Chelsea's history? Has he done enough to be considered a club legend? I feel like most Chelsea's fans have a love-hate relationship with him, so I'm curious.
  18. Yes, Copa do Brasil. After Campeonato Brasileiro, it's the most important national competition. Differently from Europe though, the winner automatically qualify for next season's Copa Libertadores, which is the equivalent of Champions League.
  19. But in the books, Barça are getting 70 Million euros from this deal in this "fiscal year". They will only account Pjanic's purchase next season.
  20. State championships used to be really important back in the Pelé days. But nowadays, most fans really don't care. The level is terrible. State championships only survive because they are the main source of revenue of states federations and in order to get elected, the CBF president need their votes. But they are relic of the past, a source of deficit for the clubs and they also squeeze the whole schedule, with Campeonato Brasileiro starting only in April and ending in early December.
  21. I don't think so. I think the real reason behind the deal is that Barcelona needs to balance its books, and Juventus helped Barcelona doing that at the price of getting a promissing midfielder. There were some rumours about some indiscretions last year, but he returned from the coronavirus pause in really good physical shape and he also put an effort to learn catalan. I feel like he really wanted to make an impact for Barcelona, even though this hasn't been translated on the pitch, since La Liga's return his performances have been subpar. Still, I find insane to judge him based only in his last 3,4 matches like some Barcelona fans and analysts are doing, specially when he was arguably Barça's best midfielder in the early stages of this season until his injury.
  22. It´s crazy, but this is how things are done in Brazil.
  23. Thank you very much for all the messages guys. I really appreciate it. Everton from Grêmio? I didn´t know that. I´ll check it out. Bolsonaro is definitely the worst leader in the world when it comes to the response to the coronavirus, I agree.
  24. My uncle died this afternoon. It´s such a tricky disease, we thought he was cured and then he ended up returning to the hospital last week and died there.
