Bayern need to replace Naglesmann, he's not good enough for a club like Bayern in my opinion.

Rincon has now sadly passed away as a result of the head injuries that he suffered from.
-
Maybe ... it's almost exactly a year later since you asked the question and poor Freddy has just had this tragic accident.
-
Not sure about a year ago, but he was in a very serious accident yesterday. Rincon is sadly in a critical condition in hospital. Lets pray that he recovers from his injuries and gets well. Freddy Rincon: Former Colombia captain in critical condition after car crash - BBC Sport

This will be a big step up for ten Hag managing one of the biggest clubs in the Premier league. The pressure will be on him to achieve in a very strong and competitive league. A much harder challenge compared to the success he had managing Ajax and Utrecht in the much weaker Dutch league.

Tottenham have been excellent this season. It's probably been their most successful season so far since they reached the final of the Champions League in 2019. The team looks really solid and they are a real threat going forward, really exciting to watch.

Maybe this is a bit of an insight as to the morale on the ground in Ukraine. The Russians don't seem so organised or as up for it as the galvanised Ukrainians perhaps appear to be. Watch as this Ukrainian in his car, jokes with the Russians by offering to tow their tank that has run out of fuel back to Russia.

People in the centrally located city of Dnipro are volunteering to fight in their droves. Similar things are happening all over Ukraine. The Russians are not having things easy at all as it stands. Ukrainian media are claiming that 4,000 Russian military personnel have been killed, while the Russians are claiming that their own Russian casualties are only a handful, the truth is probably somewhere in-between. Nonetheless, it looks like the Ukrainian people are coming together to give the invaders one hell of a fight, in order to protect their motherland.

Well yeah, there are narrow minded idiots out there, but I do think if a war in Africa took place on a large scale, there would be a lot of empathy around the world. I remember as a kid, there was a lot of outcry and empathy shown towards the genocide that happened in Rwanda. The world cared about what happened in Rwanda, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen etc. It's not just European countries that we care about. No one cares about the views of a minority of ignorant and bigoted people, or at least we shouldn't in my modest opinion.

I beg to differ mate. The reason why what is happening in Ukraine is getting so much coverage, is because Europe's two largest nations are at war with each other, with Russia having invaded Ukraine. Russia has one of the world's strongest militaries and they have invaded Ukraine using tanks, ships, helicopters and fighter jets. They have bombed Ukraine on such a large scale, that this is an unprecedented attack in recent history. If Russia for example went and did the exact same to Nigeria, believe you me, there would be equal outrage and condemnation around the world. Yes there is obviously some importance placed on the fact that this war is being fought in Europe on our door step, but be in no doubt that the main reason it is getting so much coverage is because of the scale of the attack/invasion. Furthermore, the fact that the Russian regime(Putin) have shown that they are willing to undertake this war, demonstrates that they are not only a serious threat to Ukraine, but also to the wider world.

Avaaz - Stop this war I don't know if this is against the forum rules, but if it is not, I urge everyone to sign this open letter to call for the war in Ukraine to end.

Yes, it is real, I posted a video of this incident earlier in the day. As Tommy has shown, the driver miraculously survived.

Sviatislav Yurash a Ukrainian politician marches towards the front-line of the conflict in northern Kyiv with his AK-47. Could you imagine any of our many current politicians if such a war was ever to break out in the UK? BJ and Company would be fleeing to their country houses or flying overseas with their private transport.

I've been watching the Kyiv livecams and those of other cities as well. You could hear many explosions and artillery fire in Kyiv today. Sad times as things are really intensifying.
-
As in the article Cicero posted, it was indeed announced earlier today, that all Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 are not allowed to leave Ukraine. So they are essentially forced to stay in Ukraine amid all the bombings and attacks taking place. It is also noteworthy to mention that it is almost impossible to get a train or even a bus to Western Ukraine and the Polish, Slovak and Hungarian borders. The trains and busses are limited and we have to remember that Ukraine is a country of 44 million people, which is a lot of people.

I actually agree in many ways. I don't have anything against most of the Russian people, but we need to get rid of the Putin regime. I know Ukraine isn't a NATO country, but we should be helping to defend Ukraine with our Western forces. The war would start to go in our favour quite rapidly if we were to do this. However, the one hurdle is the fact that Russia has nukes and if he uses them as he probably would if we intervened, then that could spell disaster for humanity. At the very minimum, we should be supplying Ukraine with our best military technology, we should give them all that they need in terms of weapons, so that they can defend their country with success. Right now, they are short on a lot of advanced weapons, military vehicles and jets. As it stands, sadly the Ukrainians are the sacrificial lamb caught between Western and Russian politics. The Ukrainians are outnumbered and they do not have the military technology as well as the strength, that the Russians have. If they were better equipped, they would be in a much better position to successfully repel the Russians.

I am safe in the UK mate, I am just watching the proceedings in Kyiv online on my laptop. It is just terrible what is going on there. Especially as regards to the civilians who have been killed.
-
The sirens in Kyiv went off about 20 minutes ago and now I can literally hear the sound of artillery from the Kyiv livecams I am watching. This is a really sad time in our history.
-
North Korea, Syria, Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua as well as needless to say China and Belarus(who might actually have some of their own troops fighting the Ukrainians). Shame on the leadership of all these countries!
-
The Russian forces are in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and the fighting is more intense. Civilian buildings have sadly also been hit by the Russians.
-
A Russian helicopter shot down by the Ukrainian armed forces. As expected the number of casualties on each side, drastically differs between Ukrainian reports and Russian reports.

I've been stressed all day following this as well. If the Ukrainians have won back that airfield that is positive news. As predicted they won't go down without a hell of a fight. I feel really sorry though for all the innocent civilians and families in Ukraine.
