  1. Whilst I'm sure it was just a bump in the inevitable road to promotion for Leicester, that's a big point for Ipswich given Southampton look like they're not slowing down. All the bottom half teams in the Premier League should be concerned if Leeds, Leicester and Southampton come straight up given the quality they're producing this season so we should all be rooting for Ipswich.
  2. It must be frustrating for Ismael. He's fine tuned a bunch of individuals he wouldn't sign in to a good team but then he's got two goalkeepers who are clearly not good enough. I'm surprised they didn't move for Daniel Iversen.
  3. Kevin Day on Price of Football Pod has alluded to news regarding John Textor and Crystal Palace likely to come out this week.
  4. Nothing like including the Carabao Cup and the Europa League to make a point.
  5. In what felt like a move that would have been on a 'Rise and Fall of Xavi' documentary. Xavi gave sixteen year old Pau Cubrasi his LaLiga debut at center back. Thankfully they won 4-2 and the other sixteen year old, Lamine Yamal, was excellent.
  6. They did come back out but it looked like the Milan captain Calabria told the ref that if it happens again they’ll go off and not come back. About time players took a stance as the authorities are a joke.
  7. On a side note, this would have got an Andy Gray: 'Take a bow son'.
  8. Real Madrid 2-0 down to Almeira who haven't won a game all season. Of course they win 3-2 in the 99th minute. And Sergio Ramos is playing Girona later.
  9. Whilst Preston certainly approached the game one way once they realised how soft the ref was, let's not overlook Kamara's karate kick on Frokjaer .
  10. I get that if he doesn’t move it he probably doesn’t score. But writing to the head of the refs? What next? Throw-in taken 5 yards further up the field? Call Howard Webb. You can't be writing to them over minor indiscretions regardless of the outcome.
  11. I found out a bit about this yesterday. Initially Man City wanted what would have been an eight figure outlay and there wasn't the interest they anticipated. They have since said they'd take a five million flat fee and pay his wages, which has perked the interest of a lot of Premier League clubs, so I expect the final fee to be somewhere in the middle.
  12. Im still deflated. It shouldnt have come to this. We haven't replaced Van Aanholt, Gallagher, Zaha or Benteke. We knew after the Brentford game we wouldn't have Doucoure, Ayew and Olise. Yet three weeks later we haven't done anything in the transfer market. We went to Arsenal for a battle with canons against pistol and water guns. I feel so sorry for Roy. Id still like to see what he could do whilst being backed by competency and efficency in the transfer market but id be surprised if hes in charge of the Sheffield United game after seeing his post-match comments. Not picking Ahamada, Franca, Ebiowei etc are not the reason we're losing, infact bringing them on like the Twitter brigade have demanded for weeks made us worse yesterday. The biggest problems are our players are stretched, our squad is so imbalanced and nothing is going right at any level of the club. Good look to anybody who takes over this club in its current state. There's too much flux in this club and it will go nowhere until the ownership situation is sorted. Which is something I said when Vieira was sacked. Getting slapped like this has to be the wake up call. Steve is very reactive to the club and his image. That exposure on TV when nothing else was on has made the world realise the situation were in. We need six new players, I'd he happy with three but two are a necessity.
  13. Eze is half fit at the minute. I'm anticipating an improvement against the three promoted teams. But yes, we're dreadful, I don't know where we go from here. We needed strong leadership and bold decisions last summer. Now we're paying the price for this.
  14. To make matters worse, he made changes midweek to prepare for this game. The board situation is a bit murky. Parish's biggest challenge is to find new owners that are happy to keep him as Chairman.
  15. I feel sorry for Roy. He's been dealt a very poor hand by Harris, Blitzer, Textor and Parish who deserve a lot more criticism. However this surely can't be allowed to continue. If we don't beat Sheffield United where is our next win coming from.
  16. Harry Kane reassembling the Spurs Champions League final team.
  17. It is quite funny that Fatawu skipped AFCON to help Leicester and then got himself suspended.
  18. Some of the comments show exactly why people in football shouldn't be on twitter.
  19. Usually I'd be livid that Roy is not prioritising the cup over the generic 14th place finish but everything about this club is so bleugh this season I've lost the will to care.
