  1. The short notice of that Leeds Norwich fixture is shocking.
  2. The Athletic piece on Forest is eye watering! This was my favourite bit "There is the story of Omar Richards, who joined from Bayern Munich without anybody realising he had a fractured leg. Somehow, Richards passed a medical he underwent in Greece. He cost £8.5m and, 18 months on, has not played a single minute for the club." " By the time Forest signed Chris Wood and Jonjo Shelvey from Newcastle United last January, they knew the numbers contained all sorts of risks. They went ahead and did it anyway. Wood signed on loan with a clause in his contract that triggered a £15m deal, on £100,000 a week, as soon as he was named in the matchday squad three times. Shelvey was given a two-and-a-half-year contract on roughly £75,000 a week and, within St James’ Park, the two transfers created something bordering on amazement. Put bluntly, they could not believe Forest thought it was good business.
  3. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/crystal-palace-transfers-news-phillips-nketiah-2024-b1132692.html No smoke without fire. He'd be the best short term solution for a side in our position until Doucoure returns but you'd think Newcastle could offer him just as much game time with there unavailable list. It sounds like we're waiting Ekitike to make a decision before pushing for an attacking forward as his decision is likely to start a domino effect ie. if he goes West Ham then Ings is available.
  4. WTCS Gold 24 - FM24 Skin: TCS Gold 2024 | FM Scout This is the most downloaded skin by far. Its definitely aesthetically pleasing and a big upgrade on the default skin. The only caveat is you'll want to ensure stadium packs, logos and faces are downloaded to get the full experience. Tato 24 - Tato24 FM24 Skin v2.0 | FM Scout This is the skin I used the most on FM 23. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as the WCTS Gold Skin but everything you need feels more easily accessible. Again there is a heavy emphasis on player faces. SAS Skin - Sas24 Skin - FM24 | FM Scout This is a great skin if you're heavy on numbers in your FM save to get advantages. There's also less of an emphasis on downloading player faces in comparison to the previous two. I find the information almost a little too accessible to the point where it can be bearing. OPZ Elite - OPZ Elite 2024 Series I ver. 24.1.2 [11-12-23] | FM Scout Of the more 'basic' skins this is the most popular. This would be ideal for those that wish to download the 'card' facepacks as opposed to the cut outs. If you want to run on a moneyball save or like to have the number qualities hidden then I reccomend the following two skins. Both skins looks aesthetically pleasing but I wasn't able to find full screenshots: Statman FM24 Skin v1.3 | FM Scout Mustermann Iconic v1.1 FM24 Dark Skin | FM Scout
  5. 1. Download Real Names of Clubs You could probably avoid this in England if you don't mind reading 'Man UFC' but in leagues like Italy and Brazil this feels imperative to download. FM Scout seem to have provided the best licence fix for this. A full guide and download links can be found here: Football Manager 2024 Real Names Licence Fix | FM Scout 2. Download Club & Competition Badges This is the opposite in the sense that it feels imperative you download this if you're managing in the Premier League. Sortitousi have the best variety of badges. Which one you download is likely to be the one that works best with your chosen skin: Download Football Manager Logopacks for FM 2024 - FM24 Logopacks - Football Manager 2024 Logos Packs (sortitoutsi.net) 3 Download Correct Club Kits Sometimes I don't use this but I know the generic kits annoy some people. Sortitoutsi have a good page for standard and 3d kits with installation instructions. Download Football Manager Kitpacks for FM 2024 - FM24 Kitpacks - Football Manager 2024 Kits Packs (sortitoutsi.net) Kitbasher is also a good tool if you want to generate new kits further down your save. KitBasher - Kit Making Tool for Football Manager | FM Scout 4. Download Trophies This is purely optional for those that like looking at the official trophies as opposed to the generic mop ups you see on the game. https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/style/32/trophies-megapack 5. Download Daveincid Increased Realism Megapack This is a beast of a file and it gets regularly updated. The big difference I have noticed is an improved realism in transfer preference, more realisitic finances and less overpowerment from Chinese football teams, however a full list can be found by scrolling through the following link. FM24 Increase Realism Megapack by Daveincid | FM Scout 6. Download Leagues Megapack Particularly useful if you want to complete a Saudi save. Leagues Megapack 2024 by qwert2 | FM Scout 7. Download Real Agents We're going in to the granular here now, but if you'd like to replace the fake agents with real agents and there correct clients for all the main leagues in the game this is the file for you. Nik33's FM24 Agents Pack | FM Scout 8. Improve Matchday Experience Sound This is a good way to fine tune the matchday experience if you play with sound. It mainly cuts out dead clunky noise and gives the background noise a better flow. FM24 Essentials - Audio Match Commentary | FM Scout 9. Increase in Realistic Injuries by 20% If you want to make the game a little harder and reflect the mayhem that's happened to most Premier League clubs this season then download this file to increase realistic injuries by 20%. https://www.fmscout.com/a-increase-realism-megapack-fm24.html 10. Improve Stadium on Quality. If you want to move away from the LMA Manager rough edges on stadiums to increase the realism of the matchday experience then this is the download pack for ou. Worldwide Stadium Improvements FM24 edition - Football Manager Databases - Editor Data Files - FM24 - Football Manager 2024 (sortitoutsi.net) 11. Better Turf Variety on Matchday If the turf on the mathdays irritates you then have a look at the pictures in the link below and download if you wish. Fez's Enhanced Turf Textures FM24 | FM Scout 12. English Non-league Database Optional but I like a Kingstonian save. FM24 English Lower Leagues Database - Football Manager Databases - Editor Data Files - FM24 - Football Manager 2024 (sortitoutsi.net)
  6. It amazes me how so many Nottingham Forest fans are jumping to the defence of Maranakis. Anybody could have seen how reckless and irresponsible it was to sign 30 players, spend €195m+ on players, and pay huge wages for a promoted club on players like Lingard, Henderson, Navas, Ayew etc. He was not ambitious he was incredibly irresponsible.
  7. The ownership really dont get what the problem is.
  8. Forest Green seem to be heading in one direction under Troy Deeney.
  9. They're going to move in to second gear in February with KDB back.
  10. His best material is in the wrong company. Sammy, Jericho, Jungle Boy, Bucks, Matt Hardy's wife, Darby etc.
  11. How did it even get up there? Coventry's security licence should be reviewed for that. That's part of the reason I'm off twitter. I'd see people make 'vichai on a plane' comments to Leicester players from faceless accounts and it would get under my skin. How anybody can think this is acceptable behaviour in any walk of life is beyond me.
  12. Based on his limited appearances it feels like a good move for everybody.
  13. Our owner situation is still looking messy. John Textor has made it known publicly he still wants to sell his 45% stake this season. He doesn't like not having the final say when he's the majority owner because of the other three don't agree with his long term philosophies. What's new news this month is that potential bidders are put off by the fact they'd be passive investors as Steve Parish still has the final say in football matters. Steve Parish has been a very good guardian for the club since we came out of administration. You could argue he's actually been exceptional to take the club from Championship relegation favourites to mid level Premier League for a decade and becoming the spokesperson for the 14 clubs against the greedy six. I'm sure he will do what's best for the club, but him selling his 10% or losing his majority could have ramifications for everybody given his influence in chairman PL meetings.
  14. There has to be a fairer way to implement FFP. FFP is extremely important for clubs with owners who spend beyond there means. But for sides like Newcastle, or even lower down the pyramid the likes of Bristol City and Stoke City who have owners who are willing to finance the football operation with no loans with interest. They shouldn't be handicapped to the likes of Chelsea because of where the club were positioned in 2013.
  15. Yeah that promo before The Rock came out was good. Being a fan of Jinder was not on my 2024 bingo card.
