  1. @El Profesor I'm hearing Fernando Pacheco had a solid debut at Fluminense. Got an assist and 2 goals ruled out when Fluminense were 3-0 down to Flamengo. Game ended 2-3.

I don't think it's too niche. There is the likes of HITC sevens which is an opinion football channel and Tifo Football which tells stories, but neither are specifically dedicated to the sort of thing I want to dedicate it. So I'm going to claim this niche as my own. And yes, this is just a hobby I want to do to have some fun besides my scouting job (which is still my dream job). Hopefully make some extra cash at some point with it and keep growing in the football industry and as a person. With this scouting gig it's all done via Wyscout and Instatscout. The club doesn't have the funds for me to travel consistently and neither do I. Youtube channels won't grow without some sort of payed advertising these days, but I'm willing to spend for the long term. Organic Youtube growth only happens now if you have a niche never thought of before, but much needed to reach to many audiences. Sort of like Geography Now, which has never been thought of but had huge potential. Even that I'm sure had some sort of payed advertising. Anyways, my next video is the logistics of scouting. I have to say, this idea is excellent writing down my jot notes. Being a scout and being in groups with other scouts, I can get interviews here and not just get mostly common information like with the Mark Cook video. It's not as simple as it sounds, the video has topics about the Bosman rule and how video scouting shaped the future of scouting forever.

Everything you say @Dr. Gonzo is 100% true and I'm aware of the challenges but it's one I'm willing to take. I think I have found a strong niche that can work.

My next video will be my first big one - the Logistics of Scouting including interviews and some self knowledge.
  6. Looks like what I said is starting to catch on... That or Youtube stalks me

A lot of the info I gathered from actually talking to Mark Cook, but on that front he also admitted to most of the things publicly. Im not entirely sure on the copyright front. I’m running the risk. As far as I know it’s fair use if you’re being educational or commenting on the footage. That’s why you see movie reviewers sometimes use movie clips in their videos and get away with it. But either way I’ll leave credits fair use or not. Again, I’m running the risk. Anyways this was a quick an easy video I made just to kickstart the channel. The tougher work starts from here. Just as a note this was a piece I wrote on Ronnie Dog Media a few years ago, but yeah I just today realized a lot of the things Mark told me was already known.

Anywho, I’m still waiting for feedback on the mock video before I deleted it Currently waiting an hour for some damn chicken nuggets so some entertainment would be cool!

My bad. But this one is the song. I listened to some Ruben Blades in Hawaii and realized I messed up. Oh well, corrected now.

BTW, when you asked me for that, the song was actually "Decisiones" not Pedro Navaja. Same artist though (Ruben Blades). Apologies for that error by the way, been meaning to tell you

@Stan @nudge @True Blue @Harry Mock draft of my first video. Let me know if it's OK. Still has a few things to tweak before I upload it. Such as a fade out to the audio in the first clip. Also, am I right in that someone from North Shields is considered a Geordie?

The video has been edited. Won't fully upload til late today or tomorrow but I'll let you have a sneak peek.

That's not the program. I said AN autism program, not THE autism program.

Yeah 1000 subs. I'm not expecting to make money off the go. That would be silly.
  15. Trenton is pretty far from Toronto thankfully, but still hope they are careful.

You can win a lot if you get an average of 300K views. That will take time though, I mean I do have a good plan to get to 1000 subs (first step, thats what gets you monetization) but at 21, I'm not too rushed yet. I rather go for my passion than do something I'll hate, even if it takes time. I also have my scouting job which is still my dream profession, so I'd rather split my time without anyone yelling at me! Just checked and a video of 900K gets you $1,693 (not sure if USD or CAD). Right now my only income is from an Ontario autism program. Not sure if you have those in the UK, but I'm satisfied with low earnings for a while until I build up my career(s).

Kind of. I mean I have the passion to make content and tell stories. But I do have a goal in the end and that is to treat it as another job. Will take a while though, I'm aware. I have a plan to get views. Not gonna reveal full details here but one of the things is to never half-arse through editing. I'm not that kind of guy. I genuinely do have passion, but I also do need income.

My scouting job is very low pay and it's still my dream job, but I am slowly getting up the ranks. Also having family problems and don't really want to work at a grocery store. So I figured to do Youtube for a living for the time being. Want it to be a serious historian channel more than something cringy. Obviously also a bit passionate about this niche too especially being about something I like.

Decided to become a football historian Youtuber. First video is being edited. It's about Nolberto Solano bringing an English keeper to the Peruvian league.

Having family problems with my mother now. She's been a bit of a jerk to me for a while now. Not gonna get too personal but it's been tough the last few days for me
  21. Saving up til October/November to do a continental tour, but not sure where to go. Africa or Asia my options. Of interest Africa: Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Gabon, Nambia, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa and Lesotho Asia: Oman, Bahrain, UAE, Pakistan, India, Turkmenistan, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Papua New Guinea (well aware this isn't in Asia but I would consider it in the tour)
  22. Their signings since 2017 (not counting Barcelona B signings) Antoine Griezmann - One of the most overrated strikers I've ever seen and is being found out well at Barcelona. Wasn't all that for Atletico and for France he's pretty bad. Frenkie De Jong - Could potentially be a great signing but he's not one that will change the club immediately Arthur Melo - Same as Frenkie De Jong Arturo Vidal - Signed 2 or 3 seasons well after his prime. Also scandals with Chile prove that he has nothing to do at Barcelona. Malcom - Is he even good? Swear he could make his name more before arguably the biggest club in the world go on and sign him. Clement Lenglet - He's not been too bad but again, he's not a world class player or one that will shape the club in modern times. Thomas Vermaelen - hahahahahahaha Nelson Semedo - Decent player but still nothing of those of the past. Paulinho - I've always thought PL fans were harsh on him cos he flopped at Spurs, and I think he is good enough to play in a top European league, but he's never ever ever been of Barcelona quality and this is another laughable signing by them. Ousmane Dembele - He's clearly talented but for 105M and a replacement for Neymar, even without his injury problems he's never been that good. Needed a year or 2 more at Dortmund first. Philippe Coutinho - This is potentially their best signing on paper in the last 3 years, but obviously it didn't go as expected. Yerry Mina - Got given like 1 or 2 games which he did poorly in then loaned him out. Could've been like Arthur or Frenkie De Jong but wasn't really given enough of a chance. So yeah, I maintain their last good signing on paper and on the pitch was Luis Suarez.
  23. I don't think their transfer policy gets as much stick as it should. Not even them misusing La Masia has to do with this. They've just bought shite after shite. Liverpool's transfer committee got trashed on a few years ago but it's nowhere near as bad as what Barcelona have been doing.
