  1. So next season will be interesting, will have to see how the transfer window goes before getting an understanding of where we'll be. Players I expect we may see a bid for are: Benrahma - Should have got his move to the Prem with Neal last season, so no surprise he'll be gone. Watkins - How do you keep hold of a player that good? I hope we do, new contract, more money, whatever it takes. Keep him, but I think he'll be off. Henry - Simply the best left back in the league, has it all, shuts out speedy wingers, gets up the pitch, can cross it, can dribble, can pass in tight spaces, can beat big players for aerial duels. Hope he stays but I don't see it happening. Otherwise I expect most of the first eleven to stay, Mbeumo included. If we keep Raya and most of that back line then we're already on great footing for next season. See no reason to sell Norgaard, Jensen, Dasilva or Emiliano. Canos will stay, Fosu will be looking to secure first team football. The thing with Brentford is you never know who we're scouting, but we have been linked with a move for Folarin Balogun, other than that...I've no idea. For the sale of Benrahma and Watkins I think we should be pushing for the most, let's not let teams bully us with corona as a reason when United are struggling to secure a pandemic shaped discount on Sancho. A lot of money in the Premier League, make them pay. Hopefully we're looking at £45m-50m for the pair if they go.
  2. La Liga’s decade long domination coincided with 3 key moments though, the crop of Spaniards that helped contribute to some of the greatest club and international sides ever to exist, and then Messi and Ronaldo. I think the only way England dominates again is with a fit and firing Man Utd, cos Liverpool’s finances aren’t guaranteed and for what they’ve spent Chelsea and City have both under achieved in Europe. With United in the mix it means Chelsea or City can have a shit season and there’s still 2-3 top English sides
  3. On paper, both teams at their best, we’re the better side. Our track record against Fulham shows that. But that means fuck all on Tuesday
  4. Pulisic also cost £60m, he came at that price because he has the talent
  5. Because what he responded with had zero relevance to what I was saying
  6. And how does everyone else’s opinion relate back to my view of Lampard?
  7. Just think you’re waffling mate, all season you’ve spoken about how Mount was this saviour at every age level and now it’s Mount was written off. OK. I remember German supporters on here being underwhelmed by Pulisic, I also remember a lot of people excited by his potential. But if there’s one thing Germans do on this forum is moan about transfer fees. Lampard should be praised for what he done with Tammy, but you’ve still got a side pumped with first team talent and enough academy talent to fill your boots with. Your defence has been shite and that’s on Lampard. Spurs and Arsenal have been shite, the bare minimum you should be doing is finishing above Wolves and Sheffield Utd
  8. This. If Sarri had done this Chelsea fans would be after his blood, but obviously it’s understandable why Chelsea fans would give Frank Lampard more leeway. But I agree, Spurs are shit, United are shit, Arsenal are shit, Leicester’s second half of the season form dropped off...Lampard finishing where he has should be the bare minimum tbh. Fair play he lost Hazard but they signed Pulisic for £58m so it’s not like he was working miracles with what he had left. As I’ve said before on this thread if there’s not a credible title challenge this season he has to go, Werner, Havertz and Zayech coming in has put Chelsea in the conversation with Liverpool and City

    Happy birthday
  10. His management was indicative of your decline too, clearly he’s a better manager than Emery and Arteta currently but you see Arteta demanding finances publicly from the board, he wants to have Arsenal compete at the top. He might not be good enough to achieve that but Wenger was happy to see Arsenal flounder around 4th, that’s just not good enough for a club like Arsenal.
  11. Did he run away from Mourinho? My memory was that he kept clashing with the board, Fabregas in, Thiago out. Transfers he didn’t want and overall couldn’t handle the media scrutiny of being Barce’s head coach. Mourinho definitely got under his skin though
  12. Because he is their captain, but go out and purposely sign a player to replace him and you can. Give the midfield time and they will. You can’t replace KDB. I’m not denying Henderson’s been phenomenal at what Klopp requires of him, but he benefits as a player from that system. Few clubs require so little creativity from their midfield as Liverpool do
  13. Heavy irony. Henderson massively benefits from the system around him, ask him to do more and you get results like England v Croatia
  14. Two very horrific losses on the cards for both rounds, realistically best hope is we play you in the final
  15. So another massive game on Wednesday, another chance to suffer a heart attack, another reason to hate football for 90 minutes because who can fucking watch it when it’s like this? Still we need to start picking results up quickly otherwise the play-offs will end badly...in the semis or the final and I can’t do losing to Fulham in the final. Not at all.
  16. Let’s be honest Arsenal’s attack is weak enough to be built around Coutinho, other than Auba there’s no big players ready to step up. I’d imagine Coutinho would cost a lot of money for a club that are cash strapped though But I think anyone who’s watched Arsenal will know they need to buy two new centre backs before anything, and like has been stated Partey would be good midfield option

I might be going to Manchester at this rate
  18. Wembley is a marketing product, they will want the stadium on television regardless
  19. Definitely an issue but he’s seems fit these days
  20. Jack Wilshire really was class as a youngster, shame he didn’t have the mentality to succeed as a top player
  21. Next season has to be Frank makes a good go of the title or he gets the sack right? With the players coming in a title challenge should be the minimum requirement?

Finally got my College results back today with a good surprise, they came back better than expected and I’ve gone from looking at Unis like London Met, Greenwich and Roehampton (though decent and Roehampton still on the table) to looking at City, Goldsmiths, UCL and Kings Having a look up north with Liverpool looking a good option for my course too. All in all a very good day
