  1. Moved to north London recently and the outside of the Emirates is pretty much open to exercise in, good little community scheme. Was there last night kicking a ball around and within 2 minutes managed to pull my groin The instinct to just play that you have as a child vs the need to stretch as a 30 year old man

  3. This was a weird game for us, the game as a whole was very non-eventful and could easily have ended in a draw. Ethan Pinnock was withdrawn from this game as I get the feeling he's been running on fumes recently, the division is so tough and when you have Jansson out long-term and Goode out as well he becomes the main man to rely on. Winston Reid made his first start today, it was a good start and I think he's going to be good for us tbh. Just needs game time, today was his first full 90 and previously he's only played a couple of 10 minute spells. We've just come off of the back of a defeat to Barnsley where we were outplayed, we upped the performance in the first half today and were the better side. We could have gone in 2-0 up and I think if we did then we win the game, but we didn't and here we are. Defensively we have been there to be had at by the opposition, Jansson getting injured has left a massive hole in our defence. The hope is Reid can come in and shore things up, I think he done that today, I think if you look at how they scored their goals, especially the first, it was a bit so and so in trying to get a head on the ball and then Sam Field comes in and just smashes what must have been a volley into the net. Just one of those you will concede. I can't stress enough how we're lacking Pontus Jansson, how we're lacking Christian Norgaard, two of our best defensive players. It's tough to then rely on other players to try and pick up that slack, I think we've done extremely well whilst they've been out and it's a testament to the players and the club. There was no lack of bottle today, no courage, we've just been coasting on some poorer performances for a while with these high scoring games. We beat Boro 4-1, they could have scored 4 but also we could have scored 6 or 7. Wycombe done us with 2 before losing 7-2, Reading pinned us back and moments of magic from Dasilva won the game for us. We're just hitting a point where our general performance is beginning to be matched by our creation of chances and that is as of today and Sunday against Barnsley not a lot. Emiliano Marcondes has been out since January too, which means the midfield has been lighter than normal. We have a bit of a storm to weather at the moment in terms of player fatigue, but we made less errors today than in previous games which is a good start. The performance just went from good in the first half to below standards in the second. We've been good for so long, we just need to get back to picking up draws instead of losses as that is what helped us build the foundations of our unbeaten run.
  4. Pretty much, we've had a separate FA Cup tie since but otherwise not a lot of contact
  5. Tbh a lot of proper Chelsea used to take their kids to Brentford back in the day as it was affordable and it kicked off the first time we played them in the Cup under Benham
  6. No lol. We played tonight without two of our best centre backs and our best midfielder again, and it’s our second loss in 22 or 23 games in which chance for chance the night probably should have ended a 1-1 draw.

Most likely Social Sciences but 4/5 of my choices are for Sociology, so it could be that too. But certainly prefer the Social Sciences course so far
  8. That makes sense tbh. Once you sell your next big player you'll probably have some money to replace them and add another, just a slow but consistent rise in the quality of your squad that will eventually see you make the gains you need to.
  9. No of course, and he is doing well outwide, but it’s easier to sign a wideman that chips in with goals than a forward who is expected to score the bulk of them right? So if you have a potential forward in Barnes, and a lot of strikers start on the wing before playing up top, then it’d be good to use him. But obviously that’s a discussion to be had when Vardy is done
  10. Surely Barnes will be looking to eventually take over the Jamie Vardy role?
  11. Yeah I wouldn’t put Wan Bissaka down as a bad signing per se, but I feel like his performances have been up and down and United potentially, at this point in time, have the lesser right back out of him, TAA and James.

Got an unconditional from University of Manchester today to go along with my unconditional offers from King’s College London and Goldsmiths. Was genuinely expecting to leave college last year with grades that could get me into Roehampton or London Met, nothing against the Uni’s either, but my grades were phenomenally better than I anticipated and I’m so glad I waited a year to go to Uni otherwise I wouldn’t have had the chance to pick Manchester or King’s. Just waiting back on LSE now.
  13. The new stadium is such a boost to Everton if it goes through, financially they will be able to compete on a higher level and simply having a world class stadium will help attract the best players. These Ancelotti years Everton are in are vital
  14. Vardy didn’t start playing in the EFL till he was 26? Championship too, so no League 1 or 2 for years. Would probably go some way to explaining why he’s 34 and on course for another 20+ season
  15. The Premier League would be so much worse off without Klopp, monumentally. However we all love a bit of drama so this would be great in the short-term (for non-Liverpool fans lol)

I don’t like or dislike Warrington, never followed him closely but two of his biggest come up fights were against champs/previous champs on the back end of their career. Seemed to beat them through tenacity and power rather than speed and technique, not surprised he’s lost tonight but you never wanna see someone get hit like that
  17. The decision is being criticised by some reactionary people imo, the kneel was a way for sports players and fans to come together and create discussion, but at this point now, what is it actually contributing to now? I think it’s run it’s course. Interested to see what the club have planned in place of it
  18. Ole has had 4 transfer windows now, how you rating them? Good: Fernandes Cavani Bad/average: Maguire James Wan-Bissaka (up and down I’d say) van de Beek Alex Telles (someone else confirm this one?)
  19. Understood neither of the lads have ever seen floodlights so big before
  20. Yeah the good thing about the league is that it's got a really good set up, good stadiums even if they're not purpose built (read that Western United are getting a purpose built one) but the NRL stadiums are going through a phase of stadium expansion to catch up with the AFL so the A-League are benefitting from that. The PR is good, the advertising, logo's, general imagery is great and makes for a good product. The kits are nice as well, I like that Macarthur home kit. So you watch all of this slick, well planned product and then see the players and sometimes you're like....what is happening. I just watched Brisbane Roar and saw a passage of play that had about 7 passes and every pass was ever under hit or over hit lol, but you do see some good talent come through and see some older decent players come in as well, I remember watching this giant Dutch defensive mid and he was spraying passes for fun.
