  1. He was arguably the best player at the 2014 World Cup, but that was 10 years. It incredible he's doing again at 33.
  2. James is 33 next week, will he still be on theirbteam two years from now?
  3. There is no doubt Biden has neurological and cognitive issues and is not fit enough to be President. But he had early onset of dementia in 2020 when he ran against Trump the first time. That's why he campaigned from his basement. His family, his staff , the leadership of the Democratic party along with the Main Stream Media have hid Biden's medical problems from the American public for years. Biden has only ever been President in name only, God knows who has actually been running things? Will he be replaced? Who knows. It's practically impossible to replace him if he refuses to go. This morning Biden called into MSNBC’s "Morning Joe" and defiantly proclaimed that he would be staying in the 2024 presidential race. "The bottom line here is that we’re not going anywhere. I am not going anywhere," Biden said. If the delegates to the Democratic Convention in August turn against Biden and refuse to vote for his nomination, thereby throwing it into an open convention they could replace him . That won't be easy, these delegates have all been hand picked by the Biden camp, they are Biden loyalists. In most States when a State holds a primary and a candidate wins delegates they present a list of people they have personally chosen to be delegates. The candidate knows these people, he's worked with them before and likely is owned favours by these delegates. It will take a lot to stab him in the back at the convention. The major problem with replacing Biden is Kamala Harris, she's polling worse than Biden as are all possible replacements other than Michelle Obama. If they make a change and its not Harris, they run into a problem with the campaign funds they have raised , because the money was raised for the Biden/Harris reelection bid and can't be easily transfer to another set of candidates. Also dumping a Black Woman and replacing her with a White Man or even a White Female will cause a bloodbath among Democrats. It would certainly lose them the election, which looks like they are going to lose anyway.
  4. I am hearing James Rodriguez could be player of the tournament. I haven't seen Columbia play so have missed him play. He was great in the 2014 World Cup and for Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, but seemed to go downhill after he played for Everton. I thought he had retired but I see he went to Brazil to play. Glad he has regained some form, I always liked him as a player.
  5. I know he was, I liked the transfer to United when it happened. I don't know why he failed at United and hope he regains his Ajax form.
  6. Supposedly some of add ons are pretty easy. It should reach 5m with just appearances this coming season and another £5m or £10m in adds that may or may never be reached. There is also very high sell on clause. They will never get their £35 back, but they could eventually get half of it back.
  7. Good squad player, tbe price isn't bad in today's world and he would improve the quality of the squad. But I can't see him being a starter or the answer to our problems.
  8. You got your wish. Penalties again. We seemed to be seeing more and more of them. Uruguay are one hell of a dirty team.
  9. Tuesday 9th July, 2024 Spain 1-2 France, 20.00 Wednesday 10th July, 2024 Netherlands 1-2 England, 21.00
  10. Turkey certainly had their chances but the Dutch go through to the Semis. Dutch winer officially an own goal now.
  11. Canada has some good young players, they have gotten much better the last 3 or 4 years. For years I mainly went to the Canadian Women's games because the Men's team was terrible, now the Men's team is a good ticket if they play in the Toronto area.
  12. Every so often he has a hot streak the last euros and the qualifiers to the last World Cup come to mind
  13. Canada doing well in this competition, but beating Argentina might be a bridge to far.
  14. Don't forget Scholes he was the best of the lot as any United supporter will tell you.
  15. Welcome to the life of an English fan. England's selectors always pick who they think are the best players and try to weld them into a team, doesn't matter if 2 or 3 of them play the same position.
  16. Yeah, The player he insulted had Albanian roots, he said something about their Albanian mother. I knew Albania was involved somewhere
  17. Rightly or wrongly I think they look at the nature of the insult, anything political ethic or racial gets a ban. Stupidity just gets a fine and probation.
  18. Arnautovic's insult was towards a North Macedonian player and with Arnautovic's Albanian roots it was seen as a political or ethic insult. Bellingham's action was just stupid there were no political or ethic reasons in it.
  19. At least they made a formation change, still doesn't change enough players for me. Hopefully Tripper will be better as a right wingback than he has been as a left back. But I don't think he is fully healthy, have to believe TAA would do better on the right. But still expect England to win, better players all over the park.
  20. Some really great penalties. Shame for the young kid Felix to hit the post.
  21. Somebody said that the winner of the France/Portugal game will try to get that suspension over turned.
