Thought I'd let the dust settle on last night before giving my view. First we are through to the last 16 and whoever we face we will have the stronger squad, that includes the Dutch. The problem we have is we're badly disjointed and low on confidence. We're also hamstrung by a manager unwilling to take off the handbrake and for the good of the side. Firstly Mainoo must start the next match, why he didn't start the tournament is a joke really, he decided to play Trent as he felt he'd be more defensive in his work. I'd also start Cole Palmer as he's clearly playing with a point to prove, he feels he should be starting and he knows he has the ability to make a difference. Me personally I'd switch Walker to the left and start Trent at right back next game as well, Walker offers little going forward and so does Trippier on the left, we're struggling getting the ball into the box, let Trent have a go at turning provider from right back with Palmer. The final change is the biggest talking point Bellingham or Foden at 10. He needs to pick one or the other for the good of the tournament, forget about upsetting someone, if you want to win this tournament we need the balance of a winger on the left. Gordon showed in 5 minutes the directness we need. I'm still at a loss why he used Eze and Bowen in them early games ahead of Palmer and Gordon, it has me questioning his sanity. Eze is a great player but so untested at this level he needed to be brought into games if we were comfortable and for me Bowen shouldn't have been on the plane, he's West Ham level and has limitations to his game that make him out of his depth for these tournaments.

We're dreadful, absolutely a disgraceful watch. Get Mainoo, Gordon and Palmer on the pitch. Give it a bloody go!

In such a key game surely keeping those key players on was so important. Modric, Kovacic and Kramaric. Madness subbing those three.

Danny Murphy saying the same as me, why does it take goal for Italy to actually play. They'd have won if they'd started more positive. Not over yet though.

The point stands, they would have expected to lose to Germany. So based on that it was huge to win against Switzerland. I felt they ended up lumping too much pressure for themselves by running with the attitude a point was good because it meant they were still in it. Personally I feel the worst thing for Scotland is how the fixtures were drawn. I don't believe playing the strongest side first is a good thing, you need to build confidence and losing straight away heaps pressure on that second game.

Makes you wonder why they've sat back when they are capable of putting Croatia under this much pressure. If Croatia hang on they only have themselves to blame. That said I think they will score.

Why are you being so snappy for me having an opinion. If you'd got a result against Switzerland you'd not have needed a win last night and you would have approached the game in a different way. Instead you chased the result and got caught at the end. I take it you are Scottish?

Exactly what I said at the time, win the game and take off the pressure. The draw with Switzerland was the result that killed the group for them.

I'd say overall they are the weakest squad at the whole tournament. That includes Georgia. Only other side for me is Albania.

Put it this way, Switzerland have several players capable of incredible stuff. Shaqiri, Xhaka and Embolo to name a few. Hungary havd a decent side or par with Scotland so it was a proper shoot out tonight. I was well entertained.

Defo time for Moyes. He's at the right age and experience. I also don't see him getting the opportunity in league football he'd like anymore. I don't know what more the Scottish can expect though, majority of squad is made up of Championship/League 1 players. There is no Bale or Ramsey in that side to drive them forward like Wales had.

There would be some absolute bargains in this Romanian side. Most I'd imagine play within their league system. Someone like Ipswich could really top up their squad with a few of these.

I've enjoyed it, it's not a classic yet but it's had a few drama moments and I think the ball is contributing to the goals. I heard Kane saying its fantastic for striking and it moves a lot for the keepers. It's just a shame he's not managed a shot other than he's goal.

Isn't Cala Milor predominantly the German side of the tourist side of the island. I remember being in my 20's and stumbling across it one my adventures. All the restaurants serving traditional German dishes. I found it a really interesting place.

Bellingham is athletic enough to cover both roles to be honest. He could drop deep out of possession and bomb forward when we're in attack. He has that in his locker. The alternative for me is playing Mainoo alongside Rice and making the decision to drop Foden from the eleven as a sacrifice for pace in the side. Gallagher isn't the answer for me, he hassles well but Mainoo has more technical ability to turn with the ball and make runs to create attacks.

I've highlighted the Trent part as I agree he's a top class chance creator but not from the position he's being asked to create from. He's loves that zipping ball in behind the full back or across the field. I'd maybe consider moving him to right back and putting Walker alongside Stones.

Shocking performance right through the side, but the tone for the whole game is set by the starting eleven and he's getting it so badly wrong it's ridiculous. The answer is already there, drop Bellingham in alongside Rice and play Foden through the middle. Play someone with pace to get in behind on the left hand side. Left back wise he's left himself short as well hasn't he, Tripper looks completely lost. He can fill a void but he's a quarter of the player Shaw is down the left and it shows. We needed another left footed full back, I'm not the biggest Chilwell fan but he had to come to add balance to the squad. Kane is a top striker but he'd dropping to deep because he's getting zero width from the wide men. The one time we got to the byeline he was in position to score. Dropping him isn't the answer for me, it's getting him the pace he needed to accommodate his lack of pace. Controversial opinion but maybe we should have risked a spot on Rashford. I agreed he didn't deserve his place but he would at least give you an option in behind the full back. The fact Gordon hasn't even got a minute tells you all you need to know about his chances. Also Southgates subs, try bring a bit more big club experience on. Fair enough throw Eze or Bowan on but give someone like Palmer minutes, he's been part of the city squad and Chelsea this season.

They had little to no chance against the hosts. Tonight was an essential 3 points. Drawing keeps it alive but they go into that last game know both teams have nothing to lose and technically Hungary look stronger to me. It wouldn't surprise me if it ended a draw and both sides went home.

No it's not. They needed the win tonight so they weren't in need of a win on Sunday. They'd have been better being able to draw on Sunday. Instead they've now got to win.

Had one of my back teeth break in half to the root a few years back, was absolutely hell on earth pain wise. Had it removed but haven't had it replaced as it isn't visual. Other than that I really look after my teeth and haven't had any other issues.

Germany clear favourites for me now. So strong all over the pitch and they have goals throughout their team.
