  1. Maintenance or not owning a property is an investment that can be profitable. I live locally to Manchester Airport so I've seen property prices nearly double over the last 6 years. I've sold two of my previous houses and made nearly 200k profit. I've also converted my current houses double garage into an extension giving me another room which I've converted into my living room. I had it valued last year five years after I bought it and it was valued over 100k more than what I bought it for. I haven't put it on the market to be fair but I could easily sell up now and move out of town and be completely mortgage free if I bought in an area house prices are more reasonable. All this will be left to my two children as well. So a little bit of maintenance shouldn't put people off.
  2. Back to black 7/10 Heartbreaking story of the decline of Amy Winehouses life. So talented but riddled with demons and such a bad influence.
  3. Think PSG, Barca and Madrid are sold in JD sports mate. That's why they have become so popular with the kids. They market their kits really well as well, the Jordan stuff catches attention.
  4. 115 charges, you should be the most hated football club in football.
  5. That's football mate, crazy shit happens. If we win in May I will look back on our shit performance and laugh, at least we are putting ourselves into these positions rubbish side or not. Three finals in two years, not bad for a side so often joked about. Makes you wonder why other terrible sides can't make it anywhere near. I'm 42 years of age by the way. More than know what it was like to go school during the period of our dominance.
  6. You're none stop. Was someone you hated a United fan because I don't see a reason for you to dislike United so much.
  7. Look I've read bloody hundreds of negative United posts he's made. His post pissed me off as he went straight for the jugular as usual. Embarrassing this, embarrassing that. This forum is supposed to be a mixed fans forum, I've always liked the mix but one or two can be unnecessary negative to the point it's clearly hate and it can be annoying.
  8. Debating a decision is fine. But having a clear and blatant hatred like that Brentford fan does is weird because I can't understand why. Why has a period of Uniteds success resulted in such hatred. I don't see the same hate being direct towards Manchester City or Liverpool as I do United. It literally baffles me. If I'm reading the decision is shit etc.. that's fine, it's a debate but it goes beyond that with the comments.
  9. I don't play games mate, if it didn't mean me who was you referring to? You comment that comment after my three posts referring to United hate. Don't play the smart arse. We will leave the conversation here
  10. I'm really not trust me. Supporting United your whole life you learn to accept unnecessary hate. It does bother me a little though from fans of clubs that have zero history with us. I get it from scousers, City fans, Arsenal and so on. But I've seen Wigan fans doing plane impressions at matches and similar from other none relevant clubs. I don't see the same passion being given towards the three terrible penalty calls for Forest today though. Obviously I wouldn't expect that from you but they seem to be being ignored by everyone. As for the big 6 comment, some might say your club is being protected as well. 3 dodgy pen calls, points added back on after a deduction.
  11. As for the game, we're shit, no doubting that. The manager is shit, 90% of the players aren't good enough to wear the shirt of United so managing them with the added pressure of the weight of United is impossible. That said 3-0 in the FA cup semi final and he nearly blew it with terrible substitutions again. Garnacho off, should have been Rashford and then Mainoo off as well. Taking off Garnacho gave licence for Coventry to bomb forward, we no longer had a player capable of breaking forward with pace. The crazy thing is this decision has happened countless times recently, he keeps taking off our best counter attacking player. It's utter madness. Terrible performance and all in all a really unlucky day for Coventry. Another final for United, 3 in two years with a crap squad, crap manager and no system in place. Makes you wonder how teams like Brentford can never do anything doesn't it. It would be awful to be crap and crap in everything.
  12. You really are a strange one, I get the hate from fans of relevant clubs that have been our main competitors over the years but a Brentford fan just seems bizarre. Why the hell do you hate us, not like we have any sort of history with your poxy little football club is it.
  13. Is it a disgrace because its United the decision has gone to or is it a genuine disgrace? I think a bit of United hatred is on display here. At first glance I called offside and to be honest I've seen far worse VAR decisions given. He looked slightly ahead and the technology went with that as well. We will more than likely lose to City anyway as Coventry City would have as well. So I don't think there is much for the anti United brigade to be too bothered about.
  14. Yeah we are really lucky to be fair, some amazing stunning places and walks on our doorstep.
  15. Just basically doing 5k every other day. It's been a while since I did a 10k but I could do it comfortably if I felt the need to. Also been doing my usual hiking up the local mountains in the Peaks. Going to do Snowdonia again in the next few months. Given I'm in my 43 year on the planet I think I'm pretty active.
  16. I was 39, it was 2021 during Covid. Work was drying up and I had more time on my hands then usual. So I started posting on here. Fast forward three and bit years and I'm 42 years of age and no longer the newbie. Great forum to be fair, I don't think there are many if any where I'd feel as comfortable to post now.
  17. City could win forever and I'd never reach the level of bitterness you carry towards United. If you want to believe the nonsense you've just written, fine by me. Its simply bollocks we had plenty of seasons where we won nothing and struggled. We didn't win the league for three years at one stage in the early 2000s. We were rebuilt from a team seen as washed up twice to create maybe three great sides that dominated and era. All money earned by being well marketed and simply because we were one of the biggest clubs in world football. Sorry if that's hard to accept but unfortunately however bitter you are it's a fact. That's something not true if City though, you know, I know it, everyone knows it. If we weren't to ever win a trophy again it would sit easier with me if we all knew it was done through natural growth and excellent management. Instead they've hired the best in every position and rebuilt a club in a ten year period. Pep is the perfect coach for a club that can turn over players to suit his coaching style. A player doesn't fit he gets replaced as quickly as he was bought. No hanging around like a bad smell. Frozen out and gone before the fans can even remember to how to spell their name. Pep couldn't do what Klopp or Sir Alex did with a squad. There are no Quinton Fortunes, Endo's, Silvestres or Tsimikas type players within the City squad. It's a case of need the best, scouted by the best, bought by the best and then coached by the best at coaching elite players. They will even replace Pep with the best, that will be the plan. As for shadow's, being an Everton fan you'd know better than me about that. You've spent your whole living life without seeing the sun shine in your direction. That shiny new little stadium won't change that any time soon. Better hope a sugar daddy comes your way.
  18. We profited from the financial boom of the Premier League years, what do you want me to do apologise for having one of top managers in history? Which ever way you want spin it the reality is our success was as lucky in the sense of the timing rather than us being the spear tip. United was built by the brilliance of a human rather then just money alone. That isn't the case with City, they've got the best from top to bottom by bending the rules and using their unlimited funds.
  19. City back to back treble odds tumbling. The games dead, regardless of United being involved or not. Liverpool and Arsenal have produced two amazing squads capable of sustained success but City have just closed the game with the elite in every role from top to bottom. Klopp is elite beyond belief and he can't compete with a club funded and purpose built to kill the game completely.
  20. I love both to be fair but I'd take a Thai curry ahead of an Indian. I love how they are so flavoursome yet so light. Indian suits me more for a lads night or when I've had a few beers. We have a family tradition that we always do every year, boxing day curry at the local Indian. It really suits the period due to alcohol intake.
  21. Losing Toney will send Brentford down next season. I wouldn't be totally confident signing a striker from the Belgium league would give you the required quality to replace Toney. I know you've done half a season without him this season but you are sat just above the relegation zone and taking out that sort of quality is surely have a huge effect going forward.
  22. If we're giving red cards for that then we may as well stop tackling full stop. He was strong in the challenge but he got both the ball and the man. To be honest the likes of Casemiro are the last of a dying breed. Teams like City dominate possession so easily because teams can no longer be physical enough to level the playing field. Mourinho's Inter and Atletico being the last teams to make a success of it that I can think of. I'd take football with aggression back over this tika taka crap any day of the week. The games been too sanitised and as fans we're now looking at decent tackles and over analysing them. I know you haven't said it was a red but the fact that tackle was being discussed in work today just tells you how soft the games gone. That was bog standard back in the day.

    Boxing

We need more small hall shows mate, we're having to watch fighter development from big shows rather than small venues. I've been to loads of boxing nights at leisure centres and watched some of the best domestic fights. Friday night on Sky was brilliant for domestic and European level boxers. Derry Matthews, Jamie Moore, Gomez the Booth brothers. I was at loads of the early Crolla fights before he progressed to arenas If Whittaker started off on small halls fighting these guys displaying his skills rather than the showboating he'd be absolutely loved by now. Instead it's being reported he's kicking off about hotel rooms and dancing and hopping in front of journey men fighters in front of 10k crowds. Not a good look at all.
