  1. It does seem like the Ox is sort of being groomed to play in the Firmino role. But I'm not sure how much we can rely on him even as a backup option with all of his injury problems.
  2. Yeah, I'm attaching them. Shame embedding doesn't work because that's way fucking easier (also I hate these emojis and I want the old ones back)
  3. I'm quoting someone. I don't think the post has smileys. I don't think I've got anything other than some words and pictures. I'll survive though
  4. I'd like a central midfielder and either a striker or a winger (or someone who can do both, like Jota). At this rate though, I don't think we get either. Which is weird because if you look at the amount of money we've raised from player sales over the last few seasons.. I think we should have a bit more money to spend to try to keep our squad competitive compared to the Manchester and Chelsea. Considering FSG's statement after the fan backlash to their shite super league proposal... I do wonder if they're a bit pissed off at being owners of Liverpool and are less likely to care about how we do now. On the other hand, it's in their interest to protect the value of their investment... and Liverpool as competitors are more valuable than Liverpool as nearly competitors.
  5. Honestly, I think the decision is a bit weird. The UNESCO status stays only if the docklands doesn't see much needed regeneration -it might be historic, but it's well run down... and developing it a bit would do wonders for Merseyside's local economy. But developing it means that some of the historic character of the docklands gets destroyed (although I think every development proposal I've seen has shown that they're doing quite a lot to retain as much of the "historical character" as possible - I don't know how possible that is while making new developments... but it honestly should be something considered for a part of the city deemed "historical"). And I'm not sure having the UNESCO status really outweighs the economic benefits of the proposed redevelopments, including the new Everton stadium. And pretty much everyone I know on Merseyside feels the same way. So the news of the UNESCO heritage status being lost was sort of met with the reaction of "oh no... anyways..."
  6. All cos of the blueshites too It’s horrifying tbh
  7. David Lynch says he’s going back to the UK for personal reasons (probably a death in his family, unfortunately… but idk) - but he’s expected to return to the training camp in Austria. Trusted journos are saying we should expect him to stay with Nat Phillips probably moving on (reports of a few Bundesliga clubs interested) with Rhys Williams potentially going out on loan to get more experience. So it seems like we’re probably going to be keeping Davies around as our spare tire going into the season with 4 CBs ahead of him that all have their own injury histories. He’s had a rough time since joining us though. 2 injuries and now some sort of personal issue.
  8. I'm gonna echo the shouts on here that say you should take the test to see whether or not you've had it. If you're not feeling well (even if it's not covid), you shouldn't be getting a vaccine until you're feeling better though. Wait until you're feeling better for sure. But if I were in your shoes, I'd get a test done... like I did (almost a year ago) when I wasn't feeling well. It ended up not being COVID and was something else But you should still get the vaccine when you're feeling better. Don't think that if you test positive you've now got antibody protection from the virus forever - but rather, think about the fact that a few studies have shown that people who had the virus at some point and then got the vaccine seem to produce an absolute shitload of antibodies when exposed to the virus again, compared to unvaccinated people (obviously) but even vaccinated people who never caught the virus. Could be something of a silver lining if you do test positive! I, of course, hope you test negative for it. And also, I hope you feel better from whatever is making you feel ill ASAP - covid or not. As for your last question: I had the Moderna vaccine. First jab, no real side effects tbh. Bit of a sore arm the next day but that's all. Second jab, I felt fine up until I woke up the next day. I had an awful headache that lasted the whole day and my body felt sore and achey like when you've got a bad flu. But the day after that, I woke up and I felt completely fine.
  9. Can I post in here yet? *edit* yes: and I can edit my own posts again?
  10. I want to post something about the violence in Khuzestan in the aftermath of protests regarding their water shortage & the IRI firing upon these protestors... but the forum isn't letting me.
  11. I feel like so many musicians I like lately have kept quiet about their serious health issues and then all of a sudden there's the news story that they're dead. In past few years, I think there's been quite a few "shock" deaths in music where I'd have known they maybe had a health issue (but in some cases, I had no idea until they'd died) but no clue how serious it was until they're no longer with us. A bit like Chad Boseman, the actor, I'd had no idea he was literally fighting for his life at the height of his career... until he lost that fight

  13. Wtf, he died? And I found out about it from TF365? What a world. RIP
  14. I'm not so sure. I think with Wijnaldum moving on, we were looking at probably revamping the midfield... I think that job becomes much bigger when we're looking at replacing Wijnaldum and Henderson. I think in terms of our midfield and defensive depth, we've got a number of players but there's a lot of injury worry in both areas of the pitch. Definitely agree that we've got to freshen up the attack as well. But we don't have money like City or Chelsea do, so I doubt we can address every need we'd need to realistically address to be in the best possible shape this season. I'd really hate to lose Henderson this summer.
  15. Very bad droughts in Iran due to the high heat this summer - to add to Iran's many domestic problems.
  16. Dunno, there's something to be said about having a player with the right character and mentality. I hope he can come to an agreement with the club before 2023 rolls around... and without us selling him.
  17. Talk of us maybe selling Henderson this summer, which I think is absolutely insane. The more I learn about FSG, the more I respect Klopp and Edwards. All of their success with us has been in spite of FSG, rather than because of them imo.
  18. I'm sure I said @Dr Boris Gobshite before in this thread... but I'm going to say it again and tag him because I've just noticed he was on here about a month ago. Come back please! I remember when everyone got the two of us confused - great times.
