  1. Yeah but these guys aren’t super educated or mature. Look at Spurs’ reaction to Maupay copying Madison’s signature or Maupay’s reaction to that in the following days. That was all hilariously childish too.
  2. Lol he’s just being a cocky dickhead, like many other athletes. Nobody accused these people of being brilliant at anything other than football. Yeah he’s said something very stupid, it’s not like he’s come out and said something horribly racist or kicked anyone’s dog or anything, etc, so it’s not the stupidest thing a footballers ever done. If he keeps up the way he’s played this season by saying stupid cocky shit to stay motivated, I am all for it
  3. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fcs-deal-belgian-club-3434467.amp Ended 10 years ago & produced fuck all in terms of feeding us
  4. FIFA say these reports aren’t true. But I’m expecting the follow up to be “it’s not blue it’s turquoise” or something stupid like that. But let’s hope this bad idea is just some shit rumour & that it’s a red card for the Torygraph for making stuff up.
  5. Liverpool don’t have a Belgian feeder club - that was United and I’m not sure they still have that relationship. Have you ever tried websites like Google or Wikipedia? They’re very popular and a good way of looking things up, instead of just confidently making things up. You can also use observations to make conclusions. There being no Belgian players in our first team or academy would probably be a good clue… I’m pretty sure the last Belgian we had was signed from Sunderland, who are located in… England, not Belgium. Not do we have players on loan at any Belgian clubs.
  6. I doubt the people in charge have thought it through that far
  7. I don’t think Arsenal or Liverpool have feeder clubs lol
  8. What an absolutely moronic idea. Adding another layer of complexity for the referees who struggle to even get the basics right consistently is farcical. I can’t even imagine how irritating this will be given how referees can’t be counted on to show consistency even in the same match. Every single rule change in the last 5-6 years has been a fucking disaster imo. These referees don’t need more power to fuck football up more than they have. I honestly can’t believe they’re going to go ahead with this. When you’ve got recent matches where a player gets booked for dissent for waving their arm at a referee after they’ve disagreed with the shit decision they’ve made, but players in the same match not getting a booking for screaming at the ref every chance they get… how can we expect this to be implemented well.
  9. It’s hard not to think Thiago was a bad signing, regardless of how good he is.
  10. I've heard this game is really really good - let me know what you think please
  11. Now there's a sentence I never thought I'd see. Good for him though, must be nice to kickstart his career and go from a squad player nobody really rated very highly at all to a key player at a club where the fans seem to really appreciate what he's offering to the club. Always is nice to see players get a chance to "rebuild" themselves - a bit like Solanke getting relegated and being treated as a shit meme player to now being one of the most important players at Bournemouth and the top English goalscorer in the top flight at the moment. I imagine this Leicester squad is arguably one of the most talented the Championship's ever seen, so if he's standing out in this squad... probably got a good future ahead of him.
  12. Does he follow in the footsteps of other referees and have a side-gig reffing in the UAE midweek?
  13. This kind of propaganda hitting the UK is pretty concerning Khamenei's probably so pleased he's got people in the west calling him the leader of the Muslim world though.
  14. On the one hand, I think Poch isn't cut out for clubs with high expectations on them anymore. On the other hand, Poch's walked into this team that's a glorified U-21 team with Thiago, Chilwell and Sterling playing with them that's masquerading as a premier league team.
  15. It’s absolutely what they’re aiming for, that sort of overly partisan shit makes them lots of money I’m pretty sure. If you go on social media and look around at popular premier league fan accounts it’s mostly partisan fan banter & accounts like footballtroll etc. What the media’s done to politics and news, made it like hyper partisan team sports, wasn’t just for fun. It’s the sort of shit that made the news more profitable. And look what they’ve done to English football coverage for decades. What happens on the pitch is made into pantomime by Sky & co.
  16. Who the fuck cares how players celebrate a win? Arsenal played well and won, and are now back in the mix of a title race. Emotions are allowed to run high under the circumstances. People giving a shit about it is weird.
  17. That and the Dalot red card though are kind of two highlights of the season and the standard of refereeing we’ve seen - imo. I’m all for the media putting pressure on PMGOL to reduce the number of idiotic moments from refs.
  18. Gutted, but we were shite except for about 20 minutes of the 2nd half
  19. Alonso’s been linked with Madrid and us, two clubs he’s got legendary status at and that are ready to compete for honours as soon as he steps into a role - I don’t think he’d give Newcastle serious consideration.
  20. Wtf Iran beat Japan?! Alright I’ll start supporting one of my countries in this tournament now even though politically I shouldn’t.
