I liked him but he's getting boring now. Until he does actually get back in the ring he needs ignoring

Strange one that. For this Saturday I'm thinking, Dodd, Fielding and Butler all on points. Just under 8/1

Apparently Ortiz has failed a drugs test. Wilder fight likely off now

I don't think Haye will ever be 100% fit again though. His body won't hold up against a meaningful opponent. On Ward, he didn't get the credit some think he deserved because of his style, boring and dirty. Great talent at times but the boring excessive holding, headbutts and low blows just can't be ignored
  8. That's what the FSG apologists will have you believe.
  9. But wanted to sign 26 year old Van Dijk for a huge sum of money. If he had the option, he would. Any manager would
  10. I'm sure if Klopp had the option to spend hundreds of millions on the defence over the course of a couple of years he would. But Liverpool aren't Man City...
  11. No one will get full control over transfers at Liverpool or very few other clubs. It seems to me that any alternatives offered to Klopp instead of Van Dijk when he became unobtainable, he obviously doesn't fancy. Whereas Rodgers accepted the bottom of the barrel option when we signed Balotelli for example, when he couldn't get Sanchez as the Suarez replacement. Either way, it's the manager that will get the stick. Klopp will get it when our defensive options are running short on numbers and quality. Just like Rodgers got it when the players signed under his name turned out to be poor. Everyone else involved will continue to get away with it.
  12. Only highlights the mad decision not to sign a CB this summer even further. The amount of games Matip and Lovren miss between them means that this was always a likely scenario. Lovren would be ok as a back up based on his ability and injury record but another first choice needed signing.

I think he probably means when they're both at their peak, which is true but irrelevant now because Haye's peak is long gone

Haye's body will never hold up in a meaningful fight again. This fight will either never go ahead or he'll fall apart again after a few rounds. Lomachenko v Rigondeaux is a great fight. Got to think Loma is too big though. Wilder v Ortiz in November too isn't it? Interesting one that. Not sure what to think of Ortiz, looked poor in his last couple but will be Wilder's biggest test to date

Golovkin will have to win every round or knock him out to win the rematch, which means Canelo wins the rematch. Canelo will probably be a bit better second time around and Golovkin will be probably 36 by the time they step into the ring again

You're right he did land some big counters but when he did Golovkin just seemed to keep coming back with more. I was trying my hardest to make a case for Canelo in each round but only gave him four. It's one I'll definitely watch again and re-score to see if I think any different. It was a good fight but Canelo seemed to tire later on until the 12th in my opinion. A lot of holding between about round 7 and 11.

Disgusting that! How one judge had it 118-110 Canelo I'll never know. Sometimes I wonder why I bother watching it. I had 8-4 GGG by the way

It's fight week! Predictions? Golovkin late for me.
  19. Chopping and changing the defence doesn't help either. Three changes to the back five yesterday from the Arsenal game. Never going to get any better when you're making so many changes from one game to the next

Gonzalez stopped in the fourth last night. I fell asleep before it started but saw the knockout this morning. Think he'll drop back down to flyweight now. Saw Estrada v Cuadras, good fight. Buffer initially announced Cuadras as the winner which was wrong and should have been the other way
  21. The piece I read mentioned Ward too though. Would Klopp have refused him going out on loan if he had no intention of using him at some point?
  22. Paul Joyce reckons Klopp's going to rotate the keepers depending on competition. Mignolet in the league apparently, Karius in the CL. Presumably Ward in at least the League Cup?
