I think Azeem is right in that a beating at school is nowhere near the worst thing he's lived through in his life. He's old enough to know about what's happening in his country...and has probably had to leave Syria because of it. He looks to have become numb to suffering.

Thought this was a joke at first, but she's very serious.

I'm watching a stream of the Monaco game and for some reason all the sounds are deeper. The commentators sound like they're masking their voices like in films, and the weirdest part is that the whistles from the crowd sound like screams. It literally sounds like there's been a terrorist attack at the stadium and everyone is screaming in fear. It's quite scary.

Yeah I agree that it's just as bad, but at least people enjoy it.

Yeah I've always thought it was bizarre that people start smoking to be cool, they don't enjoy it, but they carry on until they can't stop. I mean cigarette companies paid the movie industry to have people smoking in their films. You've all been tricked into paying to slowly kill yourselves.
