  1. Is that the same Kobayashi from Le Mans this year?
  2. I have no idea. I would you bet my life savings that he would get whopped in the first election because he is such a doofus, but nope. Sadly, I'm not sure Biden is the best bet for the Democrats, first off he is really old and certainly doesn't excite the youth in this country as much as some other candidates would have. However, he does have his relationship with Obama which will win him votes. But I just don't know anymore. I'm not sure how anyone can vote for him, and I'm shocked when I see First or Second Generation American Women supporting him....it's like they don't understand. So yeah, I don't know. I would bet that Trump would have won in January, but COVID hasn't help, the economy has gone balls up, he's making a mess of the BLM movement, so I can only hope the momentum continues and we get Biden/Harris in office.
  3. Thanks man. I rather hope that we have already had it and just didn't notice, and I'd be fine expect my parents keep checking in because of the asthma thing. Reports here are that we are in the last stages of a vaccine that is supposed to be the solution. We shall see.
  4. I get it, but I never understand the joy and hope of someone's failure, unless they are a total douche of the highest order, which Albon, Gasly and Tsunoda aren't.
  5. But certainly the fact that he could be the first relevant Japanese driver is something to encourage as it would just add to F1? And I like Kyvat, but I don't understand your love of him. To me he appears a decent driver, that sometimes gets too reckless. He is definitely on his last legs of his F1 career, and I would love to get more representation on the grid as long as the drivers are deserving and didn't just pay for their place. I used to loath Stroll for how he was given a silver platter to F1, but he's turned out to be a talented driver so I am happy for him.
  6. I see. I guess a lot of people were upset with the ruling. So their sponsor will be this?
  7. I still don't grasp you hatred of Tsunoda and Gasly.
  8. This was already banned by the KNVB
  9. If you have been to Vietnam recently, and made sweet love to a local, I'd probably be a bit worried ATM.
  10. Yes and no. I still haven't heard whether they have confirmed that if you get it once, and survive, then you can't get it again. In fact, I heard rumblings that their was a man in Nevada that has gotten it twice, so I'm not sure. But also not great as I have a long history of questionable health. Despite my lifestyle being high to extremely vigorous, I still suffer from Asthma, IBS, and some pretty severe allergies, so I am certainly considered high risk.
  11. Wife got the news that her school is not shut down after having 2 confirmed cases. She was also called privately and told that she was in direct contact with this person for an extended period of time, and person also worked in the nursery where our kid goes every day. So wife is getting a test today, if it's positive I suppose I need to get it as well. Hopefully we somehow avoided it.
  12. I enjoy Heinlein a lot, and have never read Scalzi, but I just reserved Old Man's War from the library.
  13. Just curious, I have read 2 of his books, Anathem and reading Cryptonomicon, but I love his writing and thought you might find his novels interesting. I'm going to try and read the Baroque Cycle next year.
  14. Have you read any Neal Stephenson?
  15. I think Union have a very spirited squad, but not very talented. There are a couple of players I like, but mostly I think it's a team that will be fighting to remain in the top division. Their story, fans, and staff are very special, and I think they rode the wave of being in the Bundesliga very well last year and it put them mid-table, but I think year 2 is almost always more difficult to teams and I think, somewhat fear, that Union are going to be struggling greatly this year.
  16. And I'll end with this @nudge as I don't mean to turn this into a relegation thread... But I think their are 3-4 teams that are worse than Augsburg (and for that case Bremen), and so I don't expect either of us to be involved in a serious relegation battle. I think the heavy favorites have to be Koln, Union, Arimina, and Mainz, and then I'd say that Stutgartt have a worse squad than Bremen and Augsburg do.
  17. So I'm watching the Bremen match, and it's clear that Bremen have talent. Some of the formations and structure looks a bit wonky, some poor turnovers that Hertha were able to capitalize on, but overall, there is enough talent there to get the job done. I'd also throw Stugartt in the relegation mix, as they have to mentally get over the yo-yo club status that they are becoming in years past...they are way too big for that kind of fluctuation. There is a portion of me that worries that if Augsburg starts up, and HSV also comes up, the push to remain in the Bundesliga is will an even tougher one as we can't compete with teams like Stuttgart and HSV in terms on finances.
  18. If Augsburg gets relegated the first year I become a member, then I will be forced to write them a note of apologies for my bad mojo that I brought to Bavaria.
  19. That is the joke...haha I'm sure there is some squad silly enough to engage in talks for him, just seems like more a liability than anything.
  20. What are your early thoughts? Do you like him? You should somehow talk to United about Osaka in hopes of them doing an even trade for Chong for Osaka.... There are a few players I've never understood why they get the jobs they do...he will always be on. His good moments at Koln were rarely anything that special to me
  21. I'm just 15 minutes into the game, but Chong looks like a quality player for Bremen. Is he just a loan from Man U or does Bremen have the ability to buy him outright?
