Some really nice news going into the international break, Matteo Guendouzi has earned his first senior international call-up for France. I believe this is an injury replacement, but a fantastic achievement considering his age and competition. I wasn't as blown away by him when he first joined as some other fans, but he really grew on me as the season progressed and to start this season he has jumped up another few levels which is unbelievable. He has been a stupendous find and for only £7m it's exceptional business. Really think he has the makings to be one of the best around.

I suppose the return of Chamberlain and Keita now being more settled will be a big bonus for Pool. It’s hard to massively improve on the current squad and there is no point buying just for the sake of it. You’re a bit lacking in depth at full back for me, but it’s hard to find quality players who are willing to play that role. Not to mention you have players like Milner and Gomez who fill in well. Overall I think it’s just a case of Liverpool playing it smart, the market is just out of control currently and the Prem market is absolutely horrendous.

I think he has all the tools to succeed in the Championship. He is just a natural goalscorer, he has a top notch goals record at youth level for both club and country. Obviously there are no guarentees when players move up to professional football, but I can't see any reason for him not scoring a good amount.

Nketiah going out on loan it seems, would be good for his development although I could've seen him getting game time here. Bristol City does seem to be a good destination for him, Tammy Abraham had a fantastic spell there and Lee Johnson seems a very good coach. Mustafi news is annoying although not really sure we can afford to sell him with Koscielny going. Although I'd imagine the club will still take up any offer for him considering he only has 2 years left. Also seems Jenkinson is finally on the way out, being reported he is going to Forest for £2m. Quite surprising to see us actually getting money for players, we have made about £30m off Ospina, Amaechi, Bielek, Koscielny, Jenkinson and money off Bennacer's clause. We also have sell-on clauses for Amaechi and Bielek who we managed to sell for £10m!

Gazidis is running Milan now, expect a whole load of disasterous deals. That bloke is a clown and hasn't got a clue what he is doing in the market.

We've actually made a signing, albeit it seems he will just be playing in the U23s this upcoming season. He is a young Brazilian forward, seems to have Edu's influence.

I think unfortunately when the club finally knew it was time to get rid of Wenger it was too late. That extra season of Wenger really crippled us, we brought Lacazette and signed Kolasinac who were both very average signings in my personal opinion. Then we failed to deal immediately with the Sanchez, Ozil and Chamberlain contract situations. Ultimately only dealing with Chamberlain albeit we did get a good price for him in the end. Once we got to January we finally dealt with Sanchez only to swap him for another mediocre player on massive wages as well. It still baffled me that in January last year we knew Wenger was going as Sanllehi and Sven were brought in but we spunked a whole lot of good sales (Giroud, Walcott etc.) on aging players like Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan and giving Ozil that monster contract. We for some reason doubled down on this average squad and took a very short term approach to getting back into the champions league, which has left us in this current state of lack of funds and a Europa League squad. Then even after all this Gazidis goes and so does Sven which has left us lacking in key areas. I think Gazidis going was actually a massive plus he left us in a shit storm and I have no doubt he would never have got us out of it. I'm hoping Edu who looks to be the new Technical Director can really steer us in the right direction. Emery has a year left to prove himself, for once we didn't overcommit on someone so if someone better comes available we have the option of upgrading there. If we are smart I believe we can turn this around, but I don't have a clue if we can unfortunately.

He had an interview saying he prefers the weather in Italy so the media went off that. With AC Milan employing Giampoalo they've just put two an two together. He has denied wanting to leave and I can't see Milan paying anywhere near close to what we would even consider.

Wenger and Gazidis have set this club back years. Will take time for us to recover.

Meh, massively disappointed overall. The only outstanding episode for me in this season was 3 and even that had it's issues. Massive kudos on the effects and the acting it was absolutely phenomenal but the story just didn't match it. I kind of feel like Jon being Rhaegar's son wasn't used as well as it could have been as well, genuinely very wasted.

Absolutely superb this, how Gerry Peyton was employed at our club for 15 years was a travesty. No wonder all our keepers turned to shite, another reason for Wenger's failings was having these useless coaches around.
