  1. What's the restaurant? If it's anything like him, I wonder how long it takes to get any service when you're there ...

Just like Tim Paine missed all of those catches

From what I've seen in this series (and plenty of other Tests as well) is that they've been more exciting than T20s/ODIs I've watched as well. Gripping and pulsating!

Managed to watch until lunch when we got to 190-2. Genuinely surprised to wake up to a draw! Feel for Pant not getting the ton! Deserved it. You'd have liked him 'opening up a bit' @Devil-Dick Willie Think Paine dropped 2 catches in the session I saw, think both were Pant, too. Considering we've lost Jadeja and no Kohli, plus Pant and Vihari playing with injuries, we've done amazingly to get a result from it, and to only be 70 odd away from actually winning. Pretty damn good considering how we lost the first test. Great stuff. Can't wait for the decider. Apparently Australia haven't lost a test match there in 32 years...

I couldn't have envisaged analogising that example any better. I even did the head-nod and finger-pointing for the India bit
  7. @Dan @...Dan Looks like Slimani may be heading to Lyon. Not sure if loan or transfer, presumably the former as his deal with us runs out in summer anyway so will go on a free. I know Dembele is about to leave but surely he won't be the replacement? Totally different strikers and doesn't fill the gap Dembele will leave behind...
  8. Yeah noticed the government have changed the wording about 2m being 'offered' the vaccine as opposed to uptake of it.

Mainly. I get it's all sweeping generalisations but the fact there's articles about it would hint majority of it can be applied. I'd say Indians are generally far too opinionated which lends it's way to being too argumentative as well. Once an Indian has their mind on something, it needs a very strong argument to turn the head. You can multiply that by some amount when it comes to the intense nature of sport. Very driven, very passionate and at times arrogant. (I'm aware there's Indians on here who aren't like that and perfectly fine folk! Hence the comment about it being sweeping generalisations).
  10. @carefreeluke did you get covered in snow in Seville? Saw that Madrid and Valencia got absolutely covered, apparently the worst storm for Spain in decades?!
  11. Nearly 2m people vaccinated so far according to Hancock. I think that only amounts to those who have received the first jab. As of 3rd Jan, approx. 21k have received the 2nd dose. Should start receiving daily figures from tomorrow and I expect by end of January the figure should be very high, especially if these huge vaccination hubs dotted around the UK are successful...
  12. Moments like this that should be spoken about more! Worth a quick glimpse of this short thread. A cop potentially saves a life/lives of Senators, directing rioters away from the Senate Chamber after seeing it was initially unguarded

I can't see us winning this one. We needed a big stand from the openers like Smith and Labuschagne have done for you at 3 & 4. Twice. The obvious sad thing being that we can't rely on Kohli should that opening partnership fail. As for the ball tampering/foreign object thing, agree that every nation does it in one form or other. Aren't some players using the wax from their hair to rub on the ball? Possibly Cummins and/or Starc? I noticed Saini puts his hand to his mouth/lips very quickly before each ball, quickly rubs his trousers then rubs the ball. I can't work out how either is allowed under the current rules? Because it's in Indian nature to do so. They're perfectionists so if anything doesn't go the right way, there's the entitlement to complain.

Glad I wasn't the only one who picked up on the Pujara comments. Found it odd considering the essence of test cricket is to be patient, retain your wicket as long as possible as a top order batsman. And its batting like Pujara which is missed these days with how other players are thanks to T20 and that kind of cricket etc. Confused me. No doubt if Pujara opened up and started swinging the bat some more, then got out in doing so, he would then 100% say 'ah what's Pujara doing, should stick to what he knows best and defend, move on steadily blah blah'
  15. Lucky for him, he's not the first Adam Johnson to be an absolute twat.
  16. Saw that earlier too. Apparently a very old Boeing jet as well? Saw the footage of the altitude on flightradar and is sad to see it just dropped so dramatically

Their commentary is shite. Always looking for something controversial to say, something edgy. They can't just commentate and have to have an opinion.
