He's better as a central player, surely? Gordon is quite clearly an actual winger. Palmer is better anyway but you're comparing players in different positions. Trent isn't a natural 6 but Southgate was just trying to copy Klopp. It wasn't a 'wacky idea'.

Enjoyed watching the Colombia game. Wasn't as straightforward for them as expected but their unbeaten run continues. The game was played at a very fast pace. Enciso will be key for Paraguay in the next games. Rodriguez showed his quality for Colombia.

Yeah I couldn't work out where that came in. There were quite a few subs, but maybe they total 3/4 mins? VAR check for the pen was quite quick too.
