  1. I can see why it gets tasty in the middle. I watched 4 episodes yesterday and I'm really enjoying it, too. Plenty of mystery and twists and interesting character traits about it and not just in the obvious ways that you'd relate with a drama like this. I can't quite work out if the main girl (Beck) is hot or not

Easyjet are definitely the one for short-haul flights. We used to do Monarch when I was a bit younger for the slightly longer flights (3-4 hours to south of Spain) but then they started charging more and Easyjet came in to prominence and now obviously Monarch out of business. I've flown Ryanair once and it was fucking disgusting. Plane looked like it hadn't been cleaned, you get much less space than Easyjet planes and obviously they charge you for hand luggage. They're both budget airlines which I can totally accept but the difference between the two is still quite significant. Agreed. I've never flown business or first class even on long-haul. Best flight I've ever been on was when I went SA via Dubai a couple years ago; the plane wasn't full so we had a whole row to ourselves, therefore 3 seats to ourselves to lie down and make more room for ourselves. Plus drinks and food was complimentary so you obviously take the piss out of that. It somewhat helps (or prolongs) the inevitable jetlag when you land . That was on an Emirates flight and even for economy you still get treated so well. Never had a hangover on a plane, mainly because I can't sleep on planes for a long time so the hangover can't set in! Dehydration and cold air is never a good combination, though. I always end up getting a dry throat because of the constanct supply of AC on-board.
  3. Have started watching You on Netflix. Heard it gets quite tasty in the middle episodes and a little fucked up?

Cheers. We've booked for October so expect it to be quieter which I think we all prefer considering we'll have my baby niece with us! Will check out Alcudia...

Anyone ever been to Mallorca? If so, any recommendations on villas or best places to stay? (No-one say Magaluf , it's a family holiday). Have been looking at Palma and nearby areas as well as East of the island near Manacor and Pollensa.

True. He seems to get away with it more than losing and above all else, the win is all that matters. Maybe he gets bored winning so easily sometimes so makes it a bit more risky and interesting for himself

Following this old man's crash, police have found the cause of the accident
  8. I suppose the denouement of it all at the end wasn't too bad, but I think I was expecting more scary moments (I know I said I didn't like that there were many to begin with!) at the end. It seemed a bit tame and mellow but it was very dark which I did like.

Makes it look ridiculously easy though! During the middle overs I thought Australia wrestled back well and kept the bowling tight. Fielding sometimes let them down with a couple of run-out chances and dropped catches but in a tense tight game like that, there's not many other players you'd want at the crease than Dhoni. Well supported by Kedar Jadhav too.
  10. Pretty much how I felt. It doesn't do the gimmicky scary stuff often either and the timing of any kind of scary stuff is well planned. Theo is hot . Older version obviously The only thing I didn't like is that there's a lot of flashbacks to the younger days and I don't like younger Hugh's character (later found out he played Elliott in ET!). I've seen it to the end so won't spoil it and let you make your own assertions but for me, I wasn't much a fan of how it ended. The lead up to it is obviously in fitting with how good the earlier episodes are though.

Australia is on hold at the moment as may not get leave off work for so long The plus side being we've got a family holiday booked for October to go to Majorca
  13. Yup, certainly called it. I wouldn't put it all down to Bolt potentially signing or not as they just have a weak squad as it is. They went OTT for the 'marquee' signing when they could have potentially paid for other transfers to bolster the squad.
  14. Central Coast win their first game of the season
  15. Just seen on Twitter someone call Corbyn the 'Morata of politics' for failing to capitalise on all the chances he's had up to today to try and beat May
  16. Kane's gonna come back early and score the standard hat-trick against us in a few weeks time.

Trademark MS Dhoni. 6 in the final over to help secure the win and tie the series for now. He looked absolutely exhausted though. Totally shattered in the final few overs but manages to summon up enough energy to whack Behrendorff for 6 in the first ball of the final over. Calmness personified as per, from Dhoni. Never, ever seems to panic.

So in my quest to get fitter and in line with one of my resolutions at the start of this year, I've started back up on the exercise bike we've got which for the most part has been gathering dust. I've not been able to play football due to injury so thought I'd take up exercise on the bike as it doesn't involve going out or costing anything. Did 10km in 31mins. Not sure if that's good or not but I aim to get below 30mins and even quicker in the next few weeks.
  20. Stan & Ollie 7/10. Firstly, I was heavily disappointed I did not feature in this film. Secondly, I thought it would have charted their success from start to finish, and what made them the icons of comedy. But interestingly enough, it actually follows their lives after they reached their peak. So there was a lot of stuff that I actually learned about the duo. But the film still kept some of its humour but also depicted the immeasurable connection the two had with each other. It's not your normal cinema-going film - it's bereft of action or tension (not that that's what I expected, mind) but in spite of that, you still feel fairly engrossed in it and become emotionally connected to the characters.

Yep! My first thought was pretty much this: Did you ever work the same security places/shifts as @Rafa Beneathus?
