UK Electorate - 46 million Voter turnout - 33 million I don't buy the 'it won't make a difference' rhetoric. A million people ( could obviously be more) out of that 13 million who didn't turn out could have had the same view as you - 'it doesn't make a difference'. Guaranteed it would have made some kind of difference if even half of those 13 million fancied voting. Also, what do you mean 'so what?' Have you seen the state of the UK's politics right now - it was shite to start with anyway but Brexit and the referendum vote has been a huge catalyst for the way it is right now. It's an absolute shit-storm, a clusterfuck of massive proportions and the Brexit vote has a lot to do with that.
  2. it wasn't that quick at all. It's obviously an error given it's led to their goal? Same could be said of the defenders needing to block the first shot and react quicker to Karius doing that - but my point was more that Karius should be doing better and the way that he's saved the shot reflects his low confidence - tamely palming it in to a crowded penalty area.

this is a forum for debate. the above post signifies how far the forum has fallen since a good start. this is AIDS.
  4. Dortmund's 3rd. Pulisic's shot perhaps could have been caught but if not, the worse thing Karius could do (and did) was palm it in to the centre of the 6 yard box where Larsen was waiting. Not on the scale of error as a couple of months ago and the one against Tranmere, but an error/mistake nonetheless.

Yep, shit that millions of people didn't cos they didn't think it would make a difference. A vote that ended up that close as well could have been different or much closer if someone did vote. And when it comes to voting I don't think anyone can moan at the way the result turned out cos they didn't mark a box and put their right to vote to good use.
  6. Karius made another mistake last night in the friendly against Dortmund. Surely his confidence is about 0 on a scale of 0-1000000. Obviously the CL error and now knowing he's going to be replaced by Alisson. His head must be all over the place (not just because of the concussion). I feel for him but surely the best thing Klopp can do is not put him in the limelight even more for a bit? Give him a break and leave him out of the public eye for a bit?

72% voted. So 28% didn't vote. 48% voted to remain.
  8. can't find Niasse's, so let's make do with Sergio Ramos missing his anyway
  9. Wow. Bottas gets provisional pole then Vettel just about pips him. Even Wolff was so surprised that Bottas got there
  10. I meant the new parts as shown here above. As in alternative to gravel to stop things like what Ericsson has done and stopping qualifying/race time. I thought the red and blue bits were made of different materials (to help slow a car down if they go off) and not just decorative purposes.
  11. why was it only the French GP that had those red & blue run-off parts of the circuit? Was it a trial thing?
  12. Hamilton out of qualifying Couldn't get his car back to the pits. Quite sad seeing him struggle to push it back and now resting by his car Seems really distressed.

few minutes walk. Elections here always have polling stations very local - held in local schools, sports halls, community halls etc. Quite handy that you don't have to go searching miles and miles for one. And if you can't get to one locally, you can do a postal vote.
  14. you come out with some proper shite sometimes
  15. cheers. the Hamilton one when he started talking about his mum and dad, especially the latter's support, nearly got me going. Thankfully never had to go through parents splitting up so can't begin to imagine what he went through but it's great he had the support of both. Too often I see parents split up and the kids are the ones who lose out and feel the effects the most.
  16. Thought this was quite a nice story to read and some good publicity for a big company/organisation for once. Morrisons have announced that they're opening early for an hour on Saturdays primarily for supporting families who have autistic children; the store will have no music, tannoy systems won't be used, lights will be dimmed - all so that it's easier for parents to shop without their autistic children feeling unsafe in the open environment on other days where those changes aren't made. Other supermarkets/stores do it but not nationwide hence Morrisons getting this story as all of their stores across the UK will do it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44884183
  17. yeah watched that on FB. Some nice comments from him, even gets a bit emotional. Are there any others from other drivers?

    Animals

I'm a bear. In the kingdom of spirit animals, the bear is emblematic of grounding forces and strength. This animal has been worshiped throughout time as a powerful totem, inspiring those who need it the courage to stand up against adversity. As a spirit animal in touch with the earth and the cycles of nature, it is a powerful guide to support physical and emotional healing.
