  1. You really don't like English football or media do you . @Michael was only making a point about Leverkusen pretty much securing the league this weekend. Nothing about inevitability before the season or comparing to a result against Arsenal...?
  2. You wonder if some big players may leave? Van Dijk, Salah, Alexander-Arnold perhaps? Maybe not all 3, but with Klopp going, anything could happen.

  5. Part of me wonders if they've had some kind of discussion (internally?) about priorities, and perhaps putting all the proverbial eggs in to the PL title basket, and not worrying about Europa League...

  11. Same thing @Dan Gotta be done...
  12. Taking Swansea back out of the equation after their resounding win over Stoke. Birmingham dropped a place as Sheff Weds rescued a point to go level with Huddersfield. Millwall picked up a valuable 3 points and were the only team in the bottom 9 to pick up 3 points, precious at this stage! Again, with such small gaps in points, if at all, it seems likely goal-difference could play a part. Plymouth's is far superior to Huddersfield & Sheff Weds, whilst Birmingham and Stoke's are the same, and only 1 goal separates QPR/Millwall/Blackburn. Next Games: Birmingham vs Coventry Sheff Weds vs Stoke Bristol City vs Huddersfield Plymouth vs Leicester Leeds vs Blackburn Millwall vs Cardiff Hull vs QPR
  13. After we lost to Millwall on Tuesday, I was ready to write about more twists and turns. But as it is, we've somehow remained top after Ipswich and Leeds both failed to win or score against mid-table opponents with little to nothing to play for... Automatic Promotion: Once again, Leicester have an opportunity to have some clear daylight between them and the rest as they play on Friday night before anyone else. Southampton, with two games in hand, may find themselves with a bit of hope as teams above them dropped points... Play-offs: With so few games left, West Brom have pretty much nailed their play-off spot. So now it's down to 5 teams fighting it out for one spot. But Norwich have a decent gap even with 3 teams below them having a game in hand (one of those being Coventry vs Hull). It may boil down to goal-difference, too, with Norwich and Coventry only separated by 2 goals, and Hull & Middlesbrough - who played out a 2-2 draw last night - level on +5. Next Games: Plymouth vs Leicester Leeds vs Blackburn Ipswich vs Middlesbrough Southampton vs Watford West Brom vs Sunderland Birmingham vs Coventry Preston vs Norwich Hull vs QPR

@Devil-Dick Willie what's your ideal main event match?
  16. And Keith Stroud gives a penalty for a foul outside the box. Good penalty by Grimes though. This win probably secures Swansea's safety.
  17. Not a patch on Dave Challinor!
  18. West Brom get a penalty. Only problem being that the offence was outside the box and the ball hit the players head
  19. Barnes coming back as plenty others are injured could be the silver lining for now. Man Utd vs Newcastle re-arranged for the Wednesday before the final game of the season. Maybe the 6th place could be decided then... Arsenal playing before Liverpool, and Liverpool playing before Man City in the penultimate games, too. I always prefer playing first/before the rivals. Seems to be less pressure compared to chasing.
