  2. It does state in the article that there could be an 'emergency fund' for teams down the football leagues, but whether that comes to fruition is another matter. As you mention though, the biggest flaw is that the richest teams can continue to just spend because their owners have those deep, deep pockets. I can't foresee the 'anchoring' rule coming in whereby they can only spend by a certain factor of what the bottom club's wage bill is, either. Especially if they're so worried about wanting PL to remain 'best league in the world' and attract the best players (one of which left UK to play in Spain...).
  3. Premier League clubs to vote on 'radical' changes. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13271249/Premier-League-eyeing-ABOLISHING-points-deductions-introducing-NBA-style-luxury-tax-fears-stars-leave-rules-restrict-pay-Everton-Nottingham-Forest-lost-points.html?ico=authors_pagination_desktop

    Cooking

Starters: Chicken skewers with some form of barbecue or Asian-style marinade. Main: Lamb keema with rice and naan bread
  5. Apologies, meant Man City away from home. Last 8 in the league: Only 2 wins out of 8.
  6. Pole Position - Which driver will post the fastest lap in Q3? Verstappen Podium - Which drivers will finish the Grand Prix in the top three positions AFTER MAX VERSTAPPEN IS REMOVED FROM THE RESULTS? 1. PEREZ 2. LECLERC 3. SAINZ Random Driver - Predict the finishing position of this week's random driver, Pierre Gasly. 14th Bonus Question - We've done this one before - which driver's finishing position will outperform their current Drivers' Championship position by the most places? E.G. if Carlos Sainz finishes 2nd, he will have outperformed his current position in the Drivers' Championship (4th) by 2 places. If nobody picks the "biggest overperformer", then I'm going to give the full 5 points rather than 2 consolation points to whoever makes the best pick. ALBON
  7. Thought Man City have usually struggled against Spurs in recent seasons.
  8. Game 119 - 9th Game 120 - 12th
  9. GAME 119 - RANGERS vs CELTIC - SUNDAY 7th APRIL, 12.00 (BST) GAME 120 - MAN UTD vs LIVERPOOL - SUNDAY 7th APRIL, 15.30 (BST) ***any predictions made after kick-off will not count*** @Mel81x @Lucas @6666 @Dr. Gonzo @Michael @Redcanuck @CaaC (John) @Devil-Dick Willie @JoshBRFC @Viva la FCB @Pyfish @Bluewolf @Tommy @Rucksackfranzose
  10. Just the two winner across both games. Game 117's first goal in the A-League game was in the 25th minute: 2 points @nudge gets 1 point for her 23rd-minute pick. Game 118 had no goals, and no winners! Table after Game 118: @Dr. Gonzo overtakes @nudge with the 2-point gain, and goes into 13th on 13 points.
  11. Love that from Foden. Surely in line to be player of the season.
  12. That time of year when so many teams are in contention for the survival fight. One win may do for some teams, others need a lot more... Rotherham are pretty much relegated already. Then 9 teams battle it out to avoid being the other 2 to be relegated. And only 8 points separate them. QPR's resurgence under Cifuentes has been impressive. And Sheff Weds' have found themselves in the fight after hiring Ruhl. Plymouth's managerial changes seem to have hit them hard, and one of them is now at Stoke who are also in the mix. Blackburn should be safe if Szmodics can keep scoring. Have included Swansea based on the teams they play, as they could easily get dragged into the mix even more... Key games coming up between now and last day of the season: 6th April Huddersfield vs Millwall QPR vs Sheff Weds 9th April Plymouth vs QPR 10th April Swansea vs Stoke 13th April Sheff Weds vs Stoke 20th April Huddersfield vs Swansea Stoke vs Plymouth 21st April Blackburn vs Sheff Weds 27th April Huddersfield vs Birmingham Millwall vs Plymouth 4th May Swansea vs Millwall

  14. Yeah it's mainly America that will see the best of it. Only parts of UK will see a partial eclipse at best.
  15. £128m Football is so far gone if that happens.
  16. I wouldn't trust the government to be responsible for that considering the cronyism and corruption already at the heart of it.
  17. Heads should roll. If they don't go now they never will.
  18. We're absolutely butt-fucked financially with our accounts for 22/23. Horrendous mismanagement at the very Top.
  19. In the unlikely event you get relegated (on the basis that 2 other teams + Sheff Utd are worse than you), are you in favour of keeping Dyche? Or would you expect fresh faces in summer, starting with the manager? To be honest, question still applies even if you stay up!
  20. I predicted this: https://www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/eng-premier-league/
  21. Yeah you do wonder if European participation could hinder West Ham. Their record after each European game this season Lost Drew Lost Won Drew Won Drew Drew Not the best, and it could mean Newcastle vs Brighton on the penultimate game has even more importance if either can overtake West Ham
