  1. This is the "hate the sin, love the sinner" stuff pushed on the church all the time. Sounds insane when it's about Hitler but that's the basics of being a christian.
  2. England should aim for the semis at least. I agree with the Trippier take, his form is so superior to his competition now. Also Foden is your best player in my books. The biggest game changer at least. I get the point that he might not suit the model in the best way but you find a way to accommodate him surely.
  3. Context: every tax payer in Portugal is getting a 125€ check from the government this month as compensation for energy prices.

The mad man is going to do it Nadal injured, Djokovic looks very beatable and the crowd is only going to be behind one man.
  8. U2 played a show in Kiev's subway. Like they don't have it bad enough already.
  9. These guys are incredible. New album is so diverse it fills all my music needs for a week.
  10. Some of the sanctions are going too far as western based companies are jumping on canceling Russia like they would jump on any other lowest common denominator cause. The sanctions at some point might end up being unfavorable to the initial purpose of hurting Putin and people close to him as they could make the regular Russian angrier at the "west" than Putin himself. The state propaganda machine will make sure to spread how that is the general position.
  11. I disagree. Unfortunately Ukraine needed NATO sooner or later. The fact that the Ukrainians have embraced their democracy and are willing to fight to protect it is what scares Putin to death and the reason for this war. He wants to squash this fledgling democracy before it spreads to Russia. NATO just meant that he couldn't meddle in Ukraine anymore, at least for a long time. It's not about the missiles. This isn't about demonizing Russia either. They are different world views. However to blame this on NATO is an attempt to paint both sides with the same brush which is not accurate. There is one aggressor here and only one.
  12. Let's forget politics for a second, it's about humanity. I don't like the idea that Russia can invade whatever non-NATO country it wishes and the world will do nothing but watch. I don't like the idea that children have to wake up to air raid sirens because of some paperwork. "With great power comes great responsibility" sounds great in spider man doesn't it. I'm not saying Europe or NATO have to police the world, but they have "flirted" with Ukriane without having intentions of helping in case this happened.
  13. Joning NATO would be the final hurdle in the westernization of Ukraine and possible the end of Putin's expansionist aspirations for a long, long time. However, what Putin fears is not NATO missiles in Ukraine, but a safe haven for democratic values on his doorstep. Forget NATO, If Russia were a free and democratic society, this war wouldn't be happening.
  14. I'm embarrassed to be an European today. We've not done enough, today is already too late.
  15. Artful Dodger needed to tell us how every other living thing on the planet would be better off if we got wiped out.
  16. Everyone to the west too slow to announce additional sanctions. Talks that they will be out within 24h but that's too much time for Ukraine is it not?
  17. They don't pay you enough pal...
  18. Having autonomous zones in Georgia and Moldova seemed to be enough to stop them from ever joining NATO, I don't see why he had to go this far with Ukraine.
  19. He literally said so in his "war declaration" speech.
  20. In a matter of 2 hours they had missiles dropping in the whole of Ukraine, seem frighteningly organized. Probably prepared months ago. Think Merkel was low ley keeping Putin in check, seemed to be the only one he respected.
