  1. After Gini and Robertson, Shaqiri will be yet another smart signing from a relegated club.
  2. If Alisson and Keita come good, then this is the first time I believe we have a strong spine since the 2008/09 season.

Happy Birthday @Stan. Have a blast.
  4. It was an animated bull with John Cena's voice, so couldn't and didn't.
  5. Excuse my poor English but I am confused with that question. I have, in my head, multiple meanings for the 'pull'. The ninja smiley just makes it worse. @topic Just finished watching 'Call me by your name', and I can totally understand the hype around it. But it's not just a gay love story. There are so many other little aspects in it. But above all, it is indeed a lovely love story. Well written, well shot and we'll acted. Timothy Chalamet is going to be a huge star in the future. He is like the thinner Ansel Elgort with a bigger acting range. Armie Hammer was a good surprise. Special mention to Michael Stulhburg, who was brilliant. His monologue in the end is so beautiful that I listened to it three times. And then, there are Sufjan Stevens' songs. It's not a movie for everyone. The start is slow, the talk around art can seem pretentious and some of the stuff is quite bold, especially that peach scene, but if you like good romantic movies then this a worthy watch.
  6. Saw 'Ferdinand', and it's a decent enough effort. Having seen the original short as a kid, there was quite a bit that was added in this one, and yet it didn't feel unique or fresh. But it's still a decent animated movie, despite the predictable humour and plot. On a side note, yet another time I was alone in the movie hall. Really enjoyed the silence.
  7. Saw Wonder totally expecting it to be a corny flick, but it's refreshingly good. There's not much to work on plot-wise, but they have done a good job with the approach. By showing us bits of every character's lives, it makes it slightly different as a movie. Jacob Tremblay is unrecognisable, and puts in a terrific performance. So do the rest of the cast. Do watch this, but don't go with high expectations, and you will leave the theatre with a smile know your face. I have neither read the book, nor seen the original, but the new 'Murder on the Orient Express' was strictly average. The stellar cast is largely wasted, cause apart from Branagh and Pfeiffer everyone else don't have much to do. Maybe they should have shot it in a different style (like what Guy Ritchie has done to Sherlock) or adapted it to the modern times. Also watched Nocturnal Animals. Just like his previous film, A Single Man, which I loved, this movie is beautifully shot by Tom Ford. The three stories are handled quite well and the metaphors are perfectly chalked out, eventhough things seem pretentious at times. Especially Amy Adams' world. But overall I enjoyed it.
  8. @Tsubasa I had a wide smile on my face, as soon as I noticed your profile pic. And yes, that scene was absolutely amazing and so was the one where Michelle Williams meets him on the street later in the movie. One of those movies that feels like a heartbreaking but brilliant novel.
  9. Yeah, Yelchin died in a freak accident.
  10. I haven't read the book, but that ending, not just Rutger's monologue, but the paper unicorn was top stuff. As for the sequel, I don't know man, I just fell in love with it. So, well made. And the pace, which many found slow, I liked it. You are right about 3D, but watching it in IMAX was even better. And the casting of Gosling was perfect. It also sets up perfectly for a third movie, but I doubt they will make it after incurring a huge loss.
  11. Heard this song on the trailer of 'Call me by your name' a movie I desperately want to see. This song is just so wonderful.
  12. Watched Coco, and Pixar scores again. You can see the twist/surprise from miles, but still the movie leaves a tear in your eyes. Highly enjoyable.
  13. It's chilling to see how calmly they construct the plan. An intriguing but uncomfortable watch. Awesome movie, though.
  14. Considering we are losing both Coutinho and Can, signing someone like Leon Gretzky (who is highly rated and free) is very logical and important.
  15. Afternoon shows, @Mel81x, generally afternoon shows, in multiplexes and not single screen theatres. Multiplexes tend to alway be sparsely filled. Funnily, in the past, when a couple left a show after interval I used to think they didn't like the movie. It all changed for me after that one show of Bewoulf. I generally tend to select my seats away from couples, when I am booking, especially if it's good movie. Also gotta feel sad for the staff that cleans the place.
  16. Do you guys really believe that the fat slob is going to go easy? The club is a very attractive entity, even without PL. The potential is enormous. Ashley knows that. He won't go easy until he gets a big deal. Don't see him selling the club that quickly.
  17. Saw 'Justice League' and it's not as bad as critics are making it out to be. Sure it's not comparable to Marvels movies, which are innovative and funny, but this was much much better than Batman vs Superman. Flash and Aquaman steal the show. The villain is terrible. I am only basing my review on the last 90 mins of the movie. The couple in my row were having sex and despite being a 30 year old adult, my senses were fully focused on them during the first 30mins and I didn't see a thing on the screen.
  18. Imagine a terribly unfunny sitcom episode where the protagonists mums come to visit them for Christmas, causing things to go bad, before everyone learns valuable family lessons in the end. That's what Bad Mom's Christmas basically is.
  19. Just came back from Thor Ragnarok and it's the most entertaining Marvels movie (Civil War was a complete package and a serious fare). The humour sets this movie apart and is the film's biggest asset. If you watched Taika Waititi's previous two movies then you will know what to expect. The fight scenes are kept short and that's a relief. Destruction porn no longer seems entertaining, but the end fight scene in this movie with Blanchett's army gets your spine tingling, largely because of that Led Zeppelin track. Tessa Thompson is quite a show stealer, but Jeff Goldblum being Jeff Goldblum and the character of Korg (played by the director) are brilliant. PS: I did not expect that guest appearance. Hilarious but shocking, and no I am not talking about Cumberbatch.
  20. I wasn't expecting Clyne to feature this year. Didn't he crack a bone or something in his back? On a side note, looks like Can is off. Don't understand why we don't give him a contract with a release clause. It's better than losing him for free.
