  1. Vettel has also picked up three penalty points on his licence. Some of the ones he has expire at the British Grand Prix but if he gets any more penalty points at the next race in Austria he'll pick up a one race ban.
  2. Bottas passes Stroll literally about 100m off the line . Still a very impressive podium for him. Craziest race I've seen in a long time. Ricciardo, Stroll, Magnussen, Alonso the only guys with incident free races.
  3. Christ so you're arguing about what we should call it? Either way, I don't think the penalty was enough. Could easily have been disqualified for it.
  4. It was dangerous driving because he deliberately hit another car. Schumacher was disqualified from an entire championship in 1997 for doing that. You're absolutely embarrassing yourself trying to defend Vettel here. What's worse is that you've already admitted he should be disqualified now you're back tracking and making out that I'm an idiot for not "proving it". How about this one, why did you state that Vettel should have been disqualified if it wasn't dangerous driving?
  5. Fucking hell. He was supposed to stay behind Hamilton because it was a safety car restart or do the rules not apply to Vettel? Was it not you who posted on the previous page that both drivers should be disqualified and now because people disagree over Hamilton's part in it you're back tracking and saying that Vettel did nothing wrong? Can't believe I'm actually having a debate about whether Vettel should have been penalised for that. Most obvious penalty I can remember seeing in F1.
  6. Try and hide your bias mate. Are you trying to deny that Vettel deliberately crashing into another driver is dangerous?
  7. I think it's not in the rules. An oversight just because the VSC is still relatively new. I expect it'll be in for next season. Tyre temperatures behind the safety car haven't been an issue for a long time as they've worked on it a lot. Part of the reason for Senna's fatal crash was that the earliest safety cars were too slow for them to keep tyre temperatures high enough when they were following it.
  8. It's also speeding up and slowing down behind the safety car to heat up the tyres and the brakes. Not conclusive. Raikkonen and Perez are back from the dead but a lap down still. Safety car restart underway.
  9. He was a bit slow but far from conclusive enough to call it a brake test and disqualify him whereas Vettels move was clear as day, aggressive and illegal driving.
  10. @SirBalon nobody is arguing that Trump can just get bored one evening and decide to nuke Russia or something, this isn't a dictatorship. However, if a situation arises where North Korea prod the USA just a bit too hard or once too many, he is capable of making a call like that in a marginal situation.
  11. Hamilton and Vettel's incident under investigation. For me, Vettel could be disqualified, deliberately driving into another driver under the safety car is reckless. It won't happen though. Lance Stroll currently 4th .
  12. Absolute chaos this race. All this chaos since the first safety car could have been avoided if they had some common sense and covered the original debris under a virtual safety car. What Hamilton/Vettel were doing running into each other at the second restart goodness knows then Force India's wiping each other out, idiotic.
  13. Hamilton is a better qualifier than Schumacher and probably a faster driver too but not a better driver. You can't argue with Schumacher's ruthless consistency in almost every race for so many years. If Schumacher had driven Hamilton's cars during the same years with the same team mates there's no way he would have been outscored in the same car by Button in 2011 or Rosberg in 2016 like Hamilton was.
  14. Pogba dabs as he scores in a charity match. https://streamable.com/cump4 How old is this guy again? And how long are we clinging on to this weird fad?
  15. Of course he can't just wake up tomorrow morning and nuke North Korea out of the blue but if the situation arises, and sadly the way the world is now that looks likely to happen during his term, it's ultimately his call.
  16. You know what I meant and as the commander in chief he does have that power if the situation arises.
  17. All it takes is Trump to press the big red button, probably out of desperation when his position becomes almost untenable, and the world becomes a very different place where nobody is safe.
  18. I know you're joking but the sad truth is that many people genuinely don't care and would want to see Boris as prime minister just for a laugh.

    Tennis

Cocaine and as if he had to clarify it was for reasons not related to tennis. Always liked Evans but what a daft cunt.
  20. Uninspiring signing for me if it goes through but willing to give him a chance. Maybe any realistic forwards will be uninspiring compared to the man they're replacing though. As for per season, I'm happy with our schedule and glad we'll get down to competitive action early doors because even if we play some gash Yugoslav side in Europa qualifying it's still better to get the juices flowing than play more pointless friendlies. This trip to Tanzania though, what an utterly pointless farce.

    Tennis

They've just mentioned on the Queens commentary that Paolo Maldini (yes, that Paolo Maldini) is making his professional tennis debut at the age of 49 this weekend, playing doubles at a Challenger event in Milan. Will have to keep track of that one !
  22. Honda have been a shambles since returning to the sport. You could understand if they had one year (two at a push but not really) with teething issues but it's been about four(?) now? And they're getting further away from the other manufacturers while the reliability has also gotten worse if anything. Back to the drawing board.
  23. I don't like her at all but our position becomes an even bigger joke if we decide halfway through that actually we want to send someone else to the table, especially when the alternatives include Boris Johnson.
  24. Couldn't see a topic on this so thought I'd start one now that the negotiations are underway. Theresa May has today announced that EU nationals that have lived in the UK for five years will be granted a 'settled' status and effectively act as UK citizens. Nothing has been said about those that have lived here less than five years though. (Edit: On second reading, I'm not sure I've actually interpreted that correctly, it's been a long day - link below for the full story). https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-eu-citizens-uk-theresa-may-settlement-europe-talks-latest-a7803736.html I still think Europe has all the leverage in these negotiations, especially after the snap election.
