Don't know how I feel about that when we've got Holgate and Kenny.
-
Only a fool would blindly praise everything a football manager (or anyone for that matter) did just because that person did it. I wonder if you or Pogba will be the first to offer Lukaku a blow job, assuming Pogba hasn't already beat you to it.
-
I'm not talking about position, I'm talking about the stature of the signing. Ludicrous to name the biggest signing of every other club and compare it to one who everyone knows is only a prospect. It's like if Liverpool fans were like "LOL we signed Salah and Everton only signed Onyekuru".
-
Comparing the signing of Lukaku to Solanke is retarded. At least compare it to Salah.

The likes of Ramsey, Walcott and Chamberlain are still dining out on looking good as a youngster and earning a big money move to Arsenal at a young age despite doing nothing to prove themselves for several years aside from the occasional stand out performance which for some reason leads the football public at large to forget they've been injured or anonymous for another three months since they last popped up on Match of the Day. Might be harsh including Walcott there as he's done well for Arsenal most of the time he's been there but looks like he's starting to fall into this category.

Squad Numbers Announced for 2017-18 Season 1 Pickford, 2 Schneiderlin, 3 Baines, 4 Keane, 5 Williams, 6 Jagielka, 7 Bolasie, 8 Barkley, 9 Sandro, 10 Rooney, 11 Mirallas, 12 Lennon, 16 McCarthy, 17 Gueye, 18 Barry, 20 Klaassen, 21 Besic, 22 Stekelenburg, 23 Coleman, 25 Funes Mori, 26 Davies, 29 Calvert-Lewin, 30 Holgate, 31 Lookman, 33 Robles, 34 Niasse, 38 Pennington, 43 Kenny, 46 Williams. Most players have kept their numbers. Joel Robles has been shuffled out to 33 as Pickford takes over the number 1 jersey, doesn't bode well for him. Bolasie has swapped in 14 to take over the number 7 shirt, previously held by Gerard Deulofeu. Klaassen takes number 20, previously belonging to Brian Oviedo and Keane takes over number 4 from Darron Gibson. Sandro replaces Arouna Koné as number 9 and we already knew that Rooney would replace Lukaku as number ten. The big story, though, is that Oumar Niasse has a squad number this year, albeit number 34. Maybe he'll get a locker too .

Pointless debate and I disagree that Arsenal have a stronger squad than Spurs. Might seem they have greater strength in depth because their first choice players aren't as good as Tottenham's so it's easier for average players to be closer to being good enough for their starting lineup.

Some sad news as the British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC) have stated that under the current deal, they will not be running the British Grand Prix at Silverstone beyond 2019, unless a new deal can be reached. https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/10944415/silverstone-confirm-break-from-f1-contract-from-2019-what-does-that-mean-for-british-gp-future The British GP survived by the skin of its teeth a few years ago when there was a lot of talk about it being moved to Donington Park but they eventually found a compromise to continue at Silverstone. Liberty Media have impressed me so far and to be honest I expect they'll find a deal this time as well because having a British GP is quite a big deal for the F1 calendar. There's always the possibility too that they might try and hold a street race (night race?) in London which is an idea they've flirted with in the past.

That's a jump start.

The fuck am I reading.

Reckon Van Dijk would be a quality signing for Arsenal but as soon as they get close to agreeing it City will come in like the bastards they are and offer him double the money.

Dread to think what sort of shit I'm going to get about my Google habits this time but another new ad popped up today

If that was the case with relegated sides having such a big advantage we wouldn't be seeing two sides getting promoted for their first season in the Premier League like Brighton and Huddersfield are. -
Have to get myself a kid so I have an excuse to watch it .

Anyone watch or ever been to the Isle of Man TT races?

Tsubasa was fishing but I hardly bit mate, that English sense of humour lost on you . Vettel was not fishing though, he's just a dick.
-
Disgusting. Next thing you know he'll be brake testing Ferrari's behind the safety car .
-
Technically maybe but the car wasn't moving before the lights went out so who actually cares? Vettel should work on his reactions .

Vettel thinking he knows better from being sat in the car seeing Bottas' start probably out of the corner of the eye than the race officials who have the benefit of telemetry and countless replays is stupid. He's no Schumacher and most of the time I'd simply describe him as determined and unyielding but you have to admit there are occasions where he just needs to shut his mouth and admit he was wrong. I remember when he blamed Webber for the Turkey 2010 crash that was clearly his fault, there was Multi 21, denying that he drove dangerously in Baku this year, and while vehemently claiming that Bottas jumped the start doesn't compare to any of those instances it's still arrogant to refuse to admit he was mistaken but like nudge says, this is what you expect from top racing drivers. It is easy to forget what a bellend he can be because he comes across as such a nice jovial chap off the track. Hamilton, by contrast, doesn't come off in front of the cameras as well as Seb does, is an absolute melt on social media and embarrassingly obsessed with his image, but very rarely crosses the line in the same way I've mentioned about Vettel. He got a lot of penalties for borderline aggressive driving in his first few years in the sport, a process we've seen Verstappen going through more recently, but seems to have found the balance these days. End of the day they're both cry babies in their own individual ways. I'm not complaining as frankly, it makes things more interesting and it's a crime that it's taken 10 years since they both debuted in F1, that despite winning the championship in seven of those years between them, this is the first time we get to see them go head to head for a title. However, I hope Red Bull are more competitive next year so I can get behind Danny Ric to wipe the floor with both of them .

Looking at how the squad is taking shape, who do we reckon might be shipped out this summer? Barkley I'm still unsure about. It's all gone very quiet and looking at the number of attacking players we've brought in, Mirallas signing a new contract and Bolasie to come back as well, it looks more likely that he'll be going. If we end up signing Sigurdsson too that's surely the final nail in the coffin. My gut says he'll end up leaving but not until later in the window. There hasn't been much chat about McCarthy either who is becoming a bit of a forgotten man which is a shame after how good he was when he signed. With Gueye, Schneiderlin, Klaassen, Davies, Barry, Rooney all potential starters in a midfield three, I think either Besic or McCarthy will be off and I think McCarthy is more likely given how openly frustrated Koeman was with his situation last season. I also believe he'd fetch a fairly decent fee and if he's available for 20m or so that could be quite a swoop for a club like Bournemouth or West Ham. I can still see Jagielka moving to Sheffield United and Koeman seems uncertain about Mori but I also wouldn't be surprised to see us hang onto both if we don't sign another central defender. With Pickford certain to start the season as first choice one of our existing goalkeepers must be off as well. I think we'd prefer to keep Robles though there was a rumour he rejected a new contract so he might be off in which case we could see Stekelenburg stay as a backup.

Used to love Dragonball/Z/GT. Never watched Dragonball Super though.

Bottas takes his second win of the year, that boy is pure class. Ricciardo putting together a sensational run of performances recently constantly getting on the podium in the third best car. Tense race, bit anti climactic until that close finish. Good races also from Grosjean, Palmer, Williams and Force India.

I always see the title of this thread and think I'm going to the Football Manager forum. -
Magnussen's "fuck this" makes it through the filter on live television.
