Yeah Jason Bateman is really strong and Laura Linney (his wife) too.

I don't have anything against Lukaku like many of our fans seem to but this is absolutely typical of him, deliver for two games, a lost Super Cup final and a game against West Ham, and label himself an instant success. I'm not saying he won't do it consistently but he should keep the arrogant remarks to himself until he does. Most people would at least pretend to be humble and say "yes I'm delighted to get off to a good start today but it's one game and there's plenty more work to do" but that's just not Rom.

Found this episode very frustrating but decent. Arya and Sansa arguing already . It's good but unnerving to see Littlefinger actually being Littlefinger again but between Arya's murder skills and Bran's psychic powers and the fact we haven't seen Sansa's "the lone wolf dies but the pack survives" quote from the trailer I'm not worried. Saw Sam leaving the Citadel coming, he's gone there to advance the plots elsewhere and hopefully he was half listening when Gilly said about the annulment. A shame we probably won't get to see Jim Broadbent's character crack and believe him. Jaime and Bronn escaping was complete bullshit on so many levels. Love this show but that was shit writing, no way Dany just forgets about coming face to face with the guy who killed her father then charged to kill her without wanting to know what happened to him. They didn't seem remotely surprised that he was alive, if they deliberately let him go they could have mentioned that. Tyrion getting into Kings Landing on his suicide mission was scarcely believable but at least they addressed that by Cersei saying she let it happen. I'm calling bullshit on her pregnancy story too, she's just saying that to keep Jaime around. And by the way, she's going to say he's the father even though she's engaged to that mad man Euron Greyjoy? Come on now... Dany burning alive the Tarlys was completely unnecessary. Beheading I could have accepted but again, why is she so ruthless with them but doesn't care about what happened to Jaime who directly killed her father and nearly her five minutes earlier? At least she let Jon go, I know he's doing what's important but he could at least send some communication to Winterfell about his plans, ask for some extra men? No? Anyway, cool shot of Eastwatch and the end of the wall and a great squad of secondary/tertiary characters to support Jon beyond the wall but no doubt a lot of them aren't coming back, but which ones? Jon - Plot armor - 99% chance of survival. The Hound - Plot armor, there's no way they bring him back just to die on this excursion? Maybe he saves Jon and that's his final redemption but I think he makes it out - 75% chance of survival. Gendry - Surely there's no chance they bring him back after 4 years just to die after 3 scenes? - 80% chance of survival. Tormund - Someone has to die here, and I think he's one of them unfortunately. I don't see how much more story he's got left. - 35% chance of survival. Beric - The brotherhood have been cool through the years but I also think they're dispensable at this stage with 8 episodes left. I expect him to go down in heroic fashion taking down dozens of dead men with his flaming sword. - 10% chance of survival. Thoros - See Beric. These two to go down together. - 10% chance of survival. Jorah - Torn on this one, I'm hopeful he'll make it out because otherwise why bother with the whole grey scale cure plot line? I can see this going either way though. - 60% chance of survival.

What does people arguing that Modric and Kroos (a German by the way) are better than Busquets have to do with Brexit or some sort of weird British bias that you're implying?

Cambridge first home game today against Carlisle who were another playoff contender last season. Tough one and no guarantee of a result but we need to get something or the pitchforks will be coming out for Derry already.

Yeah watched the whole season, thought it was quality. You finished it? If we're talking Suits I think you mean Abso-GODDAMN-lutely.

Koeman's press conference highlights: Sigurdsson talks ongoing, deal still close, reports of talks breaking down not true. "Hopefully" this will be done in the next few days but he said this last weekend. Replacing Lukaku will be hard, we still want a few more players in addition to Klaassen, Sandro and the others we've signed. Barkley is back in training. There is no offer on the table and if no appropriate offer comes in before the end of the window he will stay and be part of the team this season. McCarthy is also back in training but neither he nor Ross will be in the squad this weekend due to fitness issues. Despite Niasse and Lennon being linked with moves away, there is nothing at an advanced stage so don't expect to see any outgoings in the next few days.

I miss Ros.

Leyton Orient and Tranmere both got their first wins of the season tonight, both 3-1 at home against Solihull Moors and Woking respectively. Aldershot, who beat Torquay 3-2, and Dagenham & Redbridge, who won 2-1 at Boreham Wood, are the only two sides with a 100% record after two games. Solihull Moors are the only team without a point but have only played once as their opening game against Chester was postponed. Live on BT Saturday lunch time is Maidenhead v Hartlepool. In the National League North, Harrogate, Southport, Brackley and Spennymoor Town (who beat FC United of Manchester tonight) are the teams with two wins from two. In the National League South, it is Truro, Chelmsford and St Albans.

That's only four mate. Trust me, I'm a maths teacher . Leagues have peaks and troughs when it comes to their reputation. It's not impossible that Ligue 1 could overtake La Liga but that's a long process and even if PSG win the next five Champions Leagues it doesn't mean French football has overtaken La Liga, it means PSG have overtaken Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. If we see France consistently having 3-4 teams reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, then we'll talk.

1. Yes, there's a chance Jon's heritage will come out next week but not sure. If/when he rides a dragon I think it'll be hard for many people to argue about whether he really is a Targaryen. By the way, how has Jon not mentioned to Daenerys the fact that he spent time with the only other known Targaryen (Maester Aemon) at Castle Black!? 2. I'm not sure about this. She didn't go to King's Landing and burn down the Red Keep, that would have been a massive issue. Just because both Jaime and Tyrion were horrified by the people being burned, doesn't mean she is a tyrant for using dragons in battle, because otherwise there's no point in having them. Like I said above now though, I get the feeling Dany will go on a bit of a power trip after winning this battle. 3. A combination of Tyrion and maybe Jon Snow but Jorah Mormont is a good shout too. I'm looking forward to seeing what he has to say about Samwell Tarly if he gets back in time to meet Jon. The fact that Sam knows about the threat from the white walkers, and he is trusted by Jorah, and Jorah is trusted by Dany, I feel like this will play some sort of role. 4. Yeah, this one falls in the category of pretty cool for me. It had to happen but I don't like them going too far with fan service either. 5. Bran won't just turn into the three-eyed raven fully. There will be glimmers of Brandon Stark in there as well, and I expect him to out Littlefinger for the role he played in Ned's death, possibly in response to a threat to one of his sisters. I know that dagger was used to try and assassinate Bran, to set up Littlefinger's lie that led to Catelyn arresting Tyrion, but was it also the dagger used here?

Daenerys will go power mad at least to an extent next episode, they can't let it get too "good vs bad", just not the way they do things with the odd exception like Robb Stark vs Joffrey and Jon Snow vs Ramsay. By the way, love how one minute Dany is on the beach like "I can't feed my army, the Lannisters took all the food from the Reach", then one ad-break later she's suddenly like "I have a massive dragon so I'm going to burn all of the supplies in the supply train and let the Dothraki deal with the soldiers instead of burning the Lannister army and stealing the supplies". What happened to Tarly Sr anyway? He didn't appear for a long time and I reckon they would have shown it if he got caught in the dragon fire. Be a good twist if he shat himself and fled after he forced Samwell to go to the Night's Watch for being a coward.

Naaah, Cersei is wanting to ship over sellswords from Essos, Dany is already within striking distance of King's Landing.
-
I think this is the beginning of Danys "mad queen" arc. She will win the war but be "Queen of the Ashes" after all as her dragon fire and Cerseis wildfire will between them wreck the country, before she somewhat redeems herself by going North to help the Starks defeat the Night King. My theory at least.

Did not know who I was supporting in that last scene. Great episode, son of a bitch of an ending.

Apparently Koeman has said today he wants a player who can play left back/left centre back, a winger and a striker. I don't know if that includes Sigurdsson but I hope it does and that by winger he means attacking midfielder but that's a stretch. If he seriously wants another out and out winger that'll piss me right off because the club have already invested £40m in Bolasie and Lookman since Koeman took over and a new contract for Mirallas. We're spending all this time and money getting Sigurdsson, as well as Rooney, Sandro, Klaassen who are all attackers but not out and out strikers. Who do we have that is an out and out striker? Calvert-Lewin, arguably Sandro. I'm not going to moan about the Sigurdsson deal because it's obviously going to happen but signing another winger seems about the lowest priority for us at the moment. Mixed performance against Sevilla today, we started well and ended well but were absolutely awful for most of the time in between. I don't want to get negative but throughout pre-season a lot of our players seem well under-cooked, particularly Schneiderlin and Klaassen. I wouldn't bat an eyelid if those two were benched for Stoke but I'll be amazed if they are. Martina looked better today when he came on at left-back, but this talk of Kenny and potentially Lookman going out on loan is bothering me as well because they've shown just as much in pre-season as many of the senior players. Kenny for me looks an absolute perfect understudy for Seamus Coleman and should be getting first team football this season surely. Hoping we line up like this next week: Pickford; Kenny, Keane, Jagielka, Baines; Gueye, Davies; Mirallas, Rooney, Sandro; Calvert-Lewin. But in reality it'll be: Pickford; Holgate, Keane, Williams, Baines; Schneiderlin, Gueye; Calvert-Lewin, Rooney, Klaassen; Sandro.

Can't believe how much negative feedback this is getting. I'm the most cynical bastard of them all but I have to respect Mata for this because I don't believe he's the type to do something like this publicly to get more Instagram followers like some other players. People asking him to donate 10% as well, get real, no chance of getting other players on board with that whereas if you make it 1% other players that get on board might well end up paying at least 2% or 3%. Don't look at it as whether or not Mata deserves credit or not for giving up what is, for him, a pittance. Look at it as the guy trying to start a bit of a movement that could make a decent difference for a few charities.

I remember seeing an article about the state of the facilities used at the Olympics six months on: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/gallery/2017/feb/10/rios-olympic-venues-six-months-on-in-pictures

I totally agree with you but that's a big if. I have no idea whether more or less than half of them will have ended up being fine as its quite a new phenomenon but time will tell. For me I just think it puts them at massive risk. No there wasn't and it's only apparent now because younger people are exposed to it by the media. We have a responsibility to educate them properly so they don't get their information off fucking Facebook or whatever.

It does my head in when these leaks happen. I want to watch it when it actually comes out otherwise I don't fully enjoy it the same for some reason. But it's dangerous going on Facebook, YouTube, reddit because other people do watch it and there's spoilers in the video titles and stuff sometimes.

I'm not watching any leaks, need me my glorious HD.

They have enough to worry about going into puberty without worrying about whether they identify as the other gender. Spending two years from 12-14 being prepared for such a life changing decision only for them to change their mind after all because they've realised they didn't really understand it all and it was just a phase or curiosity just causes a totally unnecessary wave of extra trauma and potential damage to their mental well-being at that age.
