  1. Breaking news! I know 1 point from 7 matches is abysmal, it's also true Bochum lost their DFB-Pokal as well. Yet sacking a manager not even 10 matches after appointing them sets a questionable example, nonetheless.
  2. Matchday winner John predicting 4 perfect scores and setting a new season high score for this league,; 5 participants scoring double digits and only 1 player scoring less than 6 points, it's been a great matchday for us as a group. Matchday 7 1) CaaC(John) 16 points 2) Viva la FCB 14 points 3) Stan 12 points 4) Michael 10 points 4) Tommy 10points 6) Bluewolf 8 points 6)Coma 8 points 6) nudge 8 points 9) 6666 7 points 10) nawoo 6 points 11) Rucksackfranzose 4 points Lady and gents, we got a new leader to hunt! 3. Considering nobody predicted more than 1 perfect score ( 4 perfect scores predicted in total), and there was one match resulting in 0 points for all of us, the average score is remarkably good. Matchday 9 1) CaaC(John) 9 points 1) Coma 9 points 3) Bluewolf 8 points 3) Michael 8 points 3) nudge 8 points 3) Tommy 8 points 7) Viva la FCB 7 points 8- nawoo 6 points 8- Stan 6 points 10) Rucksackfranzose 4 points Top 3 spots already gained a considerable edge over their followers. Table after 9 matchdays 1) @Bluewolf 66 points 2) @nudge 64 points 3) @Michael 62 points 4) @Stan 56 points 5) @CaaC (John) 55 points 6) @Tommy 53 points 7) Rucksackfranzose 51 points 7) @Viva la FCB 51 points 9) @nawoo 50 points 19) @Coma 47 points

  13. Depends how his relation to the the FA officials is developing. Also a questions how big the ego of Englands's player is! Tuchel is neither a yesman nor a manager excusing extravagencies of his players easily.
  14. Christian Streich received this years Walther-Bensemann-Preis, which is an award for special services to football and its social significance and relevance in Germany, and generally. Former prize winners include eg Alfredo di Stefano, Bobby Charlton, and Franz Beckenbauer. This prize is well deserved, if not overdue, although it is commonly awarded to retired persons. Edit: Since this is a predominantly British forum, it should be mentioned there was a second prize winner with UK citizenship: Sir Alex Ferguson.
  15. Woo, wwoo, woo. About 6 Mio Jews, 250k disabled persons, 250k Sinti and Roma, 750k German political opponents, and 125k so called asocials beg forcibly to differ, here.
  16. Today I learned Vatican City have a women NT, since I just read they played FV Bonn-Endenich at Berlin today. Genuinelly perplexed didn't expect this.
  17. Torture tactics generally, throughout human history. Doesn't really matter at what time we look. My favourite example is supposed witches could only be burnt when they were confessing. Simultanously their testifying was only be valid under torture. It's amazing how many witches and wizzards made valid confessions.
  18. Disagree! Nothing funny about a cunning football stategist signing for fotball's cancerous ulcer.
  19. @OrangeKhrush Where's your outrage over that martial law adverse shelling of the UN quarter in Lebanon through IDF? Thought you were so concerned about what you call terrorism?
  20. Yes. it was. Still not as boring as that sounds, although I'm of course biased.
  21. Well. I remember it very well and can tell as spectator that 94, 2002 and every single one afterwards were much more boring.
  22. Wrong! RB Leipzig is still an exeption in German football all other clubs bar Leverkusen and Wolfsburg are member-owned and directed through elections. This expressively includes Bayern.
  23. To explain this I have to go back a bit: The first of the in the meantime 6 clubs of their nowadays 6 club conglomerate was Red bull Salzburg, which they got by taking over the formerly fan-owned club Austria Salzburg, with eliminating this clubs democratic club structure and changing their name to Red Bull, whilst deleting the old club and his history from club register, against the will and ignoring massive protests of this clubs fans.Their second acquisition was German club SSV Markranstädt, a then 5th tier club that went bust. To make sure their take-off didn't violate German club regulations too obviosly they created a dirty trick. Since DFB, the German football association, already had the 50+1 rule in place, they couldn't just take over this club as owner and scratch member's voting rights. Therefore they changed the statutes of said club in a way that it's still member-owned officially yet restricted the voting rights to 23 members who had to be approvedf by the Red Bull concern, undermining the sense of 50+1 rule specifically, and the fundamentally democratic spirit of German association law regarding clubs generally, in the process. Now add that REd Bull benefitted from loop holes in DFB regulations and therefore didn't need to start in the lowest tier of the pyramide, like other new founded clubs, but in 5th tier and plastering their logo over everything formerly associated with the old clubs. That should explain , why they're hated. Also it's debattable whether forming an empire of football clubs in different countries isn't questionable in itself. Disclaimer: If you're not aware what the 50+1 rule is, look it up. This post is one of the longest i've ever wrote on this forum without going into its details already.
