  1. Hate it when police are inviting denounciation like South Yorkshire police do here.
  2. This is the second round time table, if matches are shown on free TV, that's mentioned. Tuesday, October the 29th: 18.00 CET: Offenbach - Karlsruhe Augsburg - Schalke Leverkusen - Elversberg Leipzig - St Pauli 20.45 CET: Stuttgart - Lautern Regensburg - Fürth Wolfsburg - Dortmund (live on ARD) Köln - Kiel Wednesday, October the 30th: 18.00 CET: Freiburg - Hamburg Hertha BSC - Heidenheim Frankfurt - Gladbach Paderborn - Bremen 20.45 CET: Bielefeld - Union Dresden - Darmstadt Mainz - Bayern (live on ZDF) Hoffenheim - Nürnberg So the TV stations decided to show Bayern and Dortmund, how unbelievable creative, since it's not like the always show these teams. Of course I'm aware that the two of them are the clubs with the biggest following. Yet, ARD and ZDF are financed by public money with the explicite order to reflect diversity of opinion and society. That why broadcasting fees are collected, wit explicite mention of minority opinions and intersts for crying out loud! How about not running for ratings , if you're financed by a fee also collected from people, who aren't fans of the two biggest clubs, for a change? The cup's attractive because of possible upsets everybody is longing for- they should have shown two out of the matches at Offenbach, Dresden, and Bielefeld respectively. That is without even mentioning that those three clubs could do with a bit of recognition gor eliminating clubs from leagues higher in the pyramide in the first round! If it has to be matches between their precious Buli teams that they show Frankfurt Gladbach would've been a good alternative between clubs, that both have over 100k members! Well, at least, Bayern and Dortmund play away at Buli clubs and don't have home matches against 2.Liga clubs, saying that because the TV stations had shown the latter, as well, despite the almost inexistant potential for an upset these matches would have had. Rant over!
  3. Boo, the greatest Müller of all times was, still is, and will probably always be Gerd!
  4. With the important difference @CaaC (John) was the only one predicting Leverkusen would lose, while you and @Tommy predicted Leverkusen would win by 1 goal like most others did that matchday. So while the former out played all of us brilliantly, the two of you just were lucky, not many others had anticipated Leverkusen would concede 2 goals in Gladbach. In other words John showed to be an expert, while both the latter just rode their luck.
  5. Matches played from 13th to 15th of Sep: Karlsruhe - Schalke Münster - Paderborn Darmstadt - Braunschweig Hannover - Lautern Ulm- Nürnberg Köln - Magdeburg Hamburg - Regensburg Fürth - Elversberg Hertha BSC - Düsseldorf

  9. Was prevented from logging in from Thursday to now for private reasons. Therefore this update it's that late. Apologize for that inconvenience! Since the rest of us predicted Leverkusen would win John's correct Leverkusen 2-3 Leipzig shout is a deserved prediction of the matchday. 16. Yep, congrats on your brilliant and brave prediction of the favorites winning by 1 goal.
  17. Almost everybody predicted Leverkusen would win, although you both were the two only players to predict the exact resul that doesn't qualify for a shout usually. Check former editions: There are only three kinds of prediction of the matchday I do award. First for correctly predicting an out standing result, like eg 6-1, second for predicting a perfect score while all others predicted a completely different outcome of the match , and finally for being the only player predicting a perfect score on that matchday. You met none of these criteria, sorry!
  18. Considering only 4 perfect scores have been predicted in total and nobody predicted more than 1 perfect score most scores are respectable. Table after matchday 1 1) @Coma 11 points 2) @6666 9 points 2) @Michael 9 points 2) @Stan 9 points 2) @Tommy 9 points 6) @Bluewolf 8 points 6) @nawoo 8 points 6) @nudge 8 points 9) @Viva la FCB 7 points 10) Rucksackfranzose 6 points 11) @CaaC (John) 1 point
  19. Can't moderators undo the archiving? Genuine question, I supposed they could?

  22. Took me a bit to post this matchday's table since I wanted to check, whether the shared matchday winners equalised or bettered the old League all time high score. They just missed to equalize it by 1 meagre point. Knowing our usual performances their score will stay this season's high score for a while, though. Matchday 3 1) Michael 16 points 1) nawoo 16 points 3) Bluewolf 13 points 4) nudge 11 points 5) Stan 10 points 6) Rucksackfranzose 6 points 6) Viva la FCB 6 points 8- CaaC(John) 5 points 8-Tommy 5 points 10) Coma 3 points Only by a single point, Bluewolf still leads the league table, though. Table after 3 matchdays 1) @Bluewolf 30 points 2) @nawoo 29 points 3) @Michael 28 points 4) @nudge 25 points 5) Rucksackfranzose 21 points 6) @Tommy 20 points 7) @Stan 19 points 8- @Viva la FCB 17 points 9) @CaaC (John) 15 points 9) @Coma 15 points
  23. One of the most formative German managers of the 80's and 90's. Won a German, as well as an Austrian and 3 Turkish titles. In Turkey he's been well respected, while his reputation in Germany was unfortunately a bit tarnished. Although most people would agree he was an excellent manager, that cocaine affair and specifically that " Ich tue das, weil ich ein reines Gewissen habe.! (translates to "Doing that because I have a clear conscience") quote became part of his public image. On a sidenote his public arguements with Hoeneß were as legendary as those of the latter with Lemke. RIP
