The more I see the way he acts the more I wonder if he's just acting out at his current employers knowing where he's going in the summer.

News says that Lallana comes back after the international break. This is great timing for the busy part of the season.

Finished Mario Odyssey and have to say for all the hype it did live up to great gameplay and generally good after-game play as well. Some of the levels are so well designed I was taken aback by how much you have to do. The best part of it all is Cappy's various actions to make attacking levels so varied based on how you like to play it. Definite must-buy for anyone with a Switch. Still don't think its better than LoZ

For anyone that played the original Shadow of the Colossus looking at it go through a makeover is quite stunning. If you've never played it I highly recommend picking it up.

What a whirlwind month and holiday season its going to be: new Assassins Creed, new Wolf, new Mario and ... they are all great from whats to be heard by the critics. Which one are people on the forum going to be playing? I've got Mario already and waiting to finish that before jumping into Wolf(PC).

So I have clocked a few hours in on Mario Odyssey and have to say I like how the mechanics work with Cappy. At first it seems a bit weird and what they say about detaching the joycons to play the game is so true because some of the more complex moves like whirling or low hitting seem counter intuitive on a regular controller (you dont need it to progress). Its a great game and definitely a AAA title for me but is it better than BotW? I don't think so because while it has a lot of nice little features in it there is still something about LoZ that was better than this from an adventure perspective.

Not really surprised by this. A nice idea but the cost of it on its own mixed with how poor it actually was (is there a single game that actually managed to use this even remotely well?) and lumping it with every Xbox One at launch (thus bumping the price up) for no reason meant it was going to be a tough sell.
While its dead what it spawned in terms of dev work in the incubator programs they ran plus how its used in commercial applications for motion sensing actually benefited Microsoft quite a bit. I tried it once when it came out and I quite liked it but in the end it was just a toy that was never going to garner any serious game developers to do anything with it.

I have been thinking of getting it depending on any deals that may crop up as the new Mario was the one that might push me into getting one. That or I will wait until the new year.
I've heard its only been getting glowing reviews from the press but I'll get a chance to see once they release it.

You'll get Doom 2, a Wolf Expansion pack and a Fallout game before a new ES imo. They seem terribly invested at the moment in the FPS genre and you can't blame them with the acclaim that Wolf got at the presses. Plus they've also just released The Evil Within 2 so if anything there might be an announcement in the Winter of 2018 and then a release before the summer for either Fallout or the new ES i'm still thinking Fallout comes before ES just for platform reach.

Toxic communities. Oh the fun I have had with those on Overwatch Season 1 or the worst of the entire lot, the arseholes on the DOTA or WoW servers generally in Eastern Europe. Now, when I see those servers I just go in the opposite direction. I remember some terrible flaming on WoW at one point.

Speaking of EA I'm thinking of cancelling my EA Access, its only £20 a year which is pennies but I haven't actually got a game out of the vault in about 18 months, it just seems pointless to me.
You're so right about TF2. I think I was disappointed that it was too short but the fight mech and the locations were so gorgeous and it was much better than its predecessor.

Think the last game I got that had EA's involvement was Titanfall 2 but I haven't really picked up anything post that. There just isn't anything they have as an IP which fascinates me.

Has anyone with XB played CupHead? Its getting some rave reviews. Saw theres a Steam version but wanted to know if anyone has played it yet.

I finished RE: Revelations 2 after having it sitting around for almost an eternity and have to say I was pleased with the game and how it all laid out. I miss the classic RE where you had the over-shoulder look with the cross-hair pointer doing all the work. This kind of gets lost in RE7 which is a great game in its own way. Nothing still holds a candle to RE4 but Rev2 is definitely a good game and far better than Rev1.

nice to see they settled but I think another strike is on its way as this never really got the full resolution they were looking for. What's not surprising is that EA is in here and its also not surprising that they dont want to pay out the people who do work for them in terms of residuals and royalties. They truly are the Devil in the gaming industry.
