On a side-note who else is going to be playing the new Mario when it comes out over the weekend?

You'll get Doom 2, a Wolf Expansion pack and a Fallout game before a new ES imo. They seem terribly invested at the moment in the FPS genre and you can't blame them with the acclaim that Wolf got at the presses. Plus they've also just released The Evil Within 2 so if anything there might be an announcement in the Winter of 2018 and then a release before the summer for either Fallout or the new ES i'm still thinking Fallout comes before ES just for platform reach.

Toxic communities. Oh the fun I have had with those on Overwatch Season 1 or the worst of the entire lot, the arseholes on the DOTA or WoW servers generally in Eastern Europe. Now, when I see those servers I just go in the opposite direction. I remember some terrible flaming on WoW at one point.

Speaking of EA I'm thinking of cancelling my EA Access, its only £20 a year which is pennies but I haven't actually got a game out of the vault in about 18 months, it just seems pointless to me.

You're so right about TF2. I think I was disappointed that it was too short but the fight mech and the locations were so gorgeous and it was much better than its predecessor. 

Think the last game I got that had EA's involvement was Titanfall 2 but I haven't really picked up anything post that. There just isn't anything they have as an IP which fascinates me.

Lets just hope he can recover quickly but we are well and truly fucked going forward as is quite evident from how we've played without him.

Has anyone with XB played CupHead? Its getting some rave reviews. Saw theres a Steam version but wanted to know if anyone has played it yet.

I finished RE: Revelations 2 after having it sitting around for almost an eternity and have to say I was pleased with the game and how it all laid out. I miss the classic RE where you had the over-shoulder look with the cross-hair pointer doing all the work. This kind of gets lost in RE7 which is a great game in its own way.  Nothing still holds a  candle to RE4 but Rev2 is definitely a good game and far better than Rev1.

If I hadn't played it on the PC this would have been a sure purchase for me. I think its a good show from Nintendo considering most people think that their choice in game promotion is mostly non-adult oriented.  For me this also throws a little bit of light on what to expect when Metroid hits the Switch next year.

Clunky but quite a load of fun and cheap on Steam too if anyone wants to pick it up. Played a few minutes and I feel that with a mouse this one is just going to be much better than an actual controller. Has a  very transistor feel to it but the enemies don't wait for you to setup your moves. The color-scheme to me is also gorgeous.

So, today, I took one of those "i'll take a chance on this again" moments with DS3 and went back to finish a level I pretty much deserted because I figured this is just not possible. I cannot begin to tell anyone the amount of explicit words I have now hurled at this game and its development team but you just have to try. For anyone who hasn't played a Dark Souls game I strongly advise you never touch one unless you like seeing a death screen more times than you actually get to enjoy the game itself. Needless to say I have now spent over 30 minutes and I am still nowhere close to beating this 'minion' who isn't even a damn level boss. This game (to me) is officially designed and endorsed by Satan himself. 

P.S. its goddamn gorgeous and the weapon choice and skill tree are fantastic too.

Finally got around to catching up on Halt and Catch Fire. Now I am queuing up The Deuce and Better Things. Has anyone watched the latter? Heard its a good comedy.

Thought they did too but they have the new Darksiders coming out and they  have another game as well (I forget its name). Plus I found out theres a turn-style Battlechasers game coming out soon. How that slipped under the radar considering the popularity of the comic series is funny but im guessing its not that good.

What I am still unable to understand is two things regarding the releases

• Why is a Metroid game coming to 3DS only when the porting was supposed to be easy to the Switch? Yeah I get that they are getting a brand new Metroid and all but surely even they must have thought this could have been ported.
• Where is the Konami venture for Castlevania considering they even said early next year?
• Why hasn't Nintendo tried to partner with THQ Nordic to bring Darksiders 3 to the console? It's almost perfect for the Switch.

All-in-all I am happy.

• Doom/Wolfenstein releases to carry around
• Super Mario Odyssey 
• Fire Emblem (about damn time)
• New Xenoblade

Played it a while back but haven't been in there since Destiny 2 came out. I'll let you know if I get back on but I doubt that's happening anytime soon. I will say they've come a long way since release day

From what I am hearing its good and I have it downloaded just waiting to give it a try. They've learned from all their past mistakes is what word on the street is but I won't believe it till I see it.
