  1. Yeah, the regular broadcast is about to start, I'm watching the clean feed from the Mission Control which went live a few minutes ago. The 7 minutes from 20:48 to 20:55 are the most important anyway, maybe you can tune in then
  2. Started playing This Land Is My Land last night. An open world stealth-action-crafting-survival-resource management game with Native American protagonist trying to rebuild his tribe and resist the invasion of the settlers in the 19th century American Frontier. Really enjoying it do far, was waiting for a game from this refreshing point of view for a long time!
  3. Thor's Helmet Nebula (NGC 2359), about 12000 light-years away from the Earth. Its central star is extremely hot, presumably in the pre-supernova stage. 6 narrowband images, 30 min total observation time.
  4. Anyone else excited for tomorrow's landing? Here's the time plan: Add 5 hours for GMT.
  5. There's a new paper in Frontier in Microbiology which shows that cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) can successfully grow in Martian atmospheric conditions, using only gases, water and other nutrients found locally on Mars. https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2021-02/f-bff021221.php This is quite fascinating, and with further reasearch, could potentially be viable option for terraforming in the future.
  6. Clearly, this is the entrance to William Storey's secret headquarters!
  7. He should be institutionalised Looks like he's talking about Williams though? Now that would be the final nail in the coffin.
  8. You guys should check out the Helix Nebula. It's also called the Eye of God or the Eye of Sauron, and if you take a look at it, it legit looks like that! The image I've taken didn't turn out very well, unfortunately.
  9. Omega Nebula, also known as Swan or Horseshoe Nebula (M17, NGC 6618). It is one of the richest starfields in the Milky Way. Taken using Planewave CDK24 (60cm F/6.5 reflector), Astrodon LRGB 2gen filters. 14 images, 140 minutes total observation time. Stacked using DeepSkyStacker, processed in PS.
  10. Wow, that is a great suggestion. I will do that. Thank you for your help. You're such a great and helpful guy, Tommy. I can only imagine how all the women want to be with you, and all the men want to be like you. A true gentleman. Keep up the great work.
  11. Is Mr. Robot worth it from start to finish? I watched Season 1, and I was amazed by it, but somehow I forgot to continue. I want to give it another shot.

I'll take it as a compliment... The lamb was a tad too dry, by the way. Think I need to add more fat to the mince the next time.

    Ground lamb kebabs today...
  14. You can see the atmosphere!
  15. What gets me every time is that when you look through a telescope, you see how that part of the universe looked millions of years ago... That's what's mindblowing for me. A look in the past, a time machine of sorts. Like, it can look completely different now. It might not even be there. Imagine if someone on another planet millions of light-years away had a very powerful telescope and would direct it at Earth at a right moment and at a right spot, they'd see dinosaurs walking the surface of our planet. That's just crazy...
  16. A new one... Southern Pinwheel Galaxy (M83, NGC 5236), a spiral galaxy about 15 million light-years away. 6 images, 5 minute exposure each, 30 min total observation time. Broadband (RGB) filters, therefore the image is true colour!
  17. National Treasure - the bad guy who betrays his friend numerous times, gets arrested in the end The Island - the evil doctor who runs the compound, gets killed Missing - decent character, gets killed in the first episode - in the flasbacks, nonetheless
