Just reading that made me feel sick... I badly twisted my ankle during a basketball game in high school, resulting in torn ligaments and suspected partial fracture, it was horrible
  2. Marco Friedl set to join us on a loan deal.
  3. I inherently despise 99% of all politicians, but Kühnert is at least a bit of a fresh wind. Or so it seems.
  4. I'll just have the official livestream running in the background the whole day (and night)
  5. Haha, probably. He drove in Daytona in 2016 already too, to be fair, for Ford Ganassi together with Brendon Hartley, Alex Wurz and Andy Priaulx (mad team!). Did well too, just missed the podium due to overheating problems. Although he did crash the car in the pre-race event
  6. Anyone will be watching 24 hours of Daytona this weekend? Can't wait, such a great grid and plenty of top drivers, including Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris teaming up at United Motorsports (Paul di Resta in team's 2nd car), Lance Stroll and Alex Brundle driving for Jackie Chan Racing, René Rast for Mazda. There's also Felipe Nasr, Christian Fittipaldi, Juan Pablo Montoya, Mike Rockefeller and a lot of other well-known names from various racing series.

Yes Anton, nobody goes to Pattaya for beaches They are even dirtier than all the bars of the Walking Street. The islands are the best for sure, but the whole Krabi area including the mainland has amazing beaches in general.

Wow, those jellyfish pics look amazing! The cat is nice too
  11. I was hinting at the morality as the key concept of vegan ideology more or less though. Those who don't eat meat because of health issues or because they don't like the taste/texture are unlikely to turn to lab grown meat, fair enough. What about those whose main (and only) reason of abstaining from meat is the issue of animal abuse and killing?
  12. He was development driver for Renault last season, wasn't he? Anyway, I think it's very sad to see what Williams has become. That reminds me I still need to watch that new documentary about them, supposed to be good.
  13. So Williams couldn't say no to Russian money. However, I remember reading a while ago that Sirotkin's times weren't worse than Kubica's ones in testing, and some sources even claim he was actually quicker. Not sure if it's just a load of blah blah in order not to look like greedy bastards though.

Yes, both birds and crocodilians are archosaurs with a common ancestor, it's mad how nature and evolution works. Talking about prehistoric crocodilians, I remember reading about a giant 10 meter one that even hunted fucking dinosaurs
  16. I wonder how long it will be until we get affordable, mass-produced lab-grown meat readily available in supermarkets. It actually raises an interesting question - what would be vegan/vegetarian stance on it?

Poor wild dogs Alligators are incredible survivors too:
  18. We're technically not herbivores either, considering we can't digest cellulose ... Within biology, humans are regarded as omnivores, and rightly so - we've been scavengers from the early days as we have the capability to digest both plant and animal matter. Today it's perfectly possible to live healthy on a completely vegan diet in a developed country if one makes sure to get all nutrients from alternative sources (especially B12 since we can't acquire it from non-animal sources), but we're not biological plant-only (or meat-only) eaters. As for factory farming, it's horrible because of the drive to maximise output by minimising the costs, thus resulting in horrible living conditions and administering drugs to stimulate aberrant growth. It's nasty af, both in regards to animals and the health of the consumer.

I prefer grilled prawns or scallops, but yes, I approve
  20. No, it certainly wouldn't be a big loss though I'd love a cheeseburger now though
  21. Numerous studies have found that plants can actually hear themselves being eaten alive and try to defend by releasing certain chemicals Nature is brutal.
