  1. Hehe, I figured when I saw your new profile pic Glad you liked it!
  2. I love Joaquin Phoenix, but that trailer doesn't work for me, looks like overblown arthouse style Taken.
  3. Off-season... There was a twitter post where F1 teams interacted with each other by posting cat gifs, so this doesn't surprise me
  4. Thanks, now I want Mettbrötchen too Or rather the whole Mettigel.
  5. Well, his main sponsor pretty much owns Sauber now, so yeah
  6. Swedish sponsors money winning the seat for Ericsson, I suppose? Couldn't find any other explanation otherwise, both Wehrlein and Giovinazzi would make more sense talent and skill-wise. EDIT: Giovinazzi now confirmed as 3rd driver.
  7. So that's Leclerc and Ericsson officially confirmed. Would have preferred Giovinazzi over Ericsson personally, but I guess Sauber didn't want to go for two Ferrari rookies...
  8. Haha, Deutschland 83 is kind of one part Atomic blonde, one part The Americans Check it out, great show, only 8 episodes, and there will be a sequel produced by Amazon coming out in 2018.
  9. I remember getting hit by nostalgia for the 80s music while watching Deutschland 83 a while ago. Great TV series by the way, it was a horrible decision to have it shown on RTL though, completely missed its target audience.

They have those big fat roaches here, like 5-6cm long Ewwww. I had three snake younglings crawling into my room through the balcony and trying to make love with my stereo cable once (almost stepped on one of them, hrrr), probably venomous, but I still prefer that over roaches They have some really strange species here, haha. The weirdest living thing I've seen was some mutant insect which had wings, grasshopper-like legs, at least 4 antennae and fur on it's mid-section Don't even know what the fuck that was haha, but it could run, jump, fly and was damn huge. I think a proper trip to the jungle would be a real treat in terms of spotting unusual species, but I'm too soft for that, haha. Eagles are great, pure force and elegance. Take crowned eagle, for example - not even THAT big, usually up to 4-5kg, yet they are prey on mammals weighing up to 20-30kg
  11. Keine Angst, ich hab schon jede Menge Qualitätskontrolle hinter mir
  12. Any snow yet? We're in comfortable +25 to +30 range at the moment.
  13. Oh well, I'll take it as a reminder to start with my Advent Calendar...
  14. Heard Wham's "Last Christmas" on the radio today for the first time this year ...

Yep they're huge, supposed to be the heaviest eagle worldwide, I think, and their wingspan is over 2 meters on average It's a shame that... We still have quite a few species of eagles here in Cambo, with the white-bellied sea Eagle being the most impressive one. I'm actually going on a wildlife watching tour during the Christmas days off in a local national park, the wildlife and marine life diversity there is unbelievable (around 200 bird species alone), but this is going to go downwards now as they succumbed to a huge Chinese investment and allowed them to build monstrous hotel/casino resorts in the area, so I want to take the last chance to see it untouched. I'm particularly keen on spotting great hornbills, herons, pelicans and cranes, mouse-deer, sun bears, dugongs and freshwater dolphins. Hope I'll manage to take a few decent pics and avoid pythons and king cobras while I'm on it, haha.
  16. Yeah, and Bottas apparently tried it in Abu Dhabi, he reportedly needed 9.59 seconds to get out...
  17. Carbon-titanium. I don't know the exact numbers of the loads they are designed to withstand; there were a number of tests they ran in three risk categories: car to car, car to environment, and external objects. Apparently it can withstand the impact of a 20kg wheel assembly flying at 225km/h, bear a static load 15 times the mass of an F1 car, and prevent helmet contact with a wall or a barrier in many cases of tested accidents. It will be interesting to see the actual results of crash tests.
