  1. I dislike Wehrlein ever since I've watched him regularly in DTM; fast driver but such a spoiled brat and cocky af. Seems to have matured a bit though.
  2. Hope it's not Ericsson, would much rather see Giovinazzi there. You and your Kvyat Would love to see Kubica back, but apparently he's not impressed that much in tests so far.
  3. Leclerc to Sauber is also expected to be confirmed soon, so there's only 2 seats left to fill.
  4. Hamilton is employed by Mercedes, just like those 1000 people are. If he was gone and another driver took his place, they would still be employed by Mercedes. In fact, if we're looking at a bigger picture here, then it's probably worth to mention that it's the work of those 1000 people that helps him win races and justify his high employment costs in the first place. Surely a good driver who generates profit for Mercedes, but rambling about "creating jobs" while being questioned about his dubious tax arrangements just sounds like a smug deflection tactics.
  5. Pretty sure that's what all of them do in one way or another, otherwise half of the grid wouldn't be living in tax exile in Monaco or Switzerland or Dubai or whatever. Legitimate tax avoidance schemes are legal, and loopholes are always going to be taken advantage of. However, it's statements like this that make him look like a self-absorbed smug cunt who still thinks he's a gift to humanity: Haha. Give him a knighthood, now...
  6. Ok, so it looks like the "Labbadia or Walpurgis" stuff actually DID come from Bild, so that's a big relief Baumann is currently in Switzerland, new name is thus thrown into the mix - Adi Hütter of Young Boys Bern.
  7. I've just read it in Worum (biggest Werder fans forum). Hope it's not from Bild, haha. At any case, I wouldn't be surprised.
  8. So apparently our only candidates are Labbadia and Walpurgis. It's even worse than I expected Jesus f.... Christ.
  9. What a race in Shanghai! Both Toyotas led in LMP1 class for most of the race, but their #7 car was involved in an incident with one of the leading GTE Pro cars with less than an hour to go, thus allowing Porsche to finish 2nd and 3rd and to clinch both LMP1 Manufacturers title and Drivers' championship for Hartley, Bernhard and Bamber. That's three in a row for Porsche, great way to leave the series as well. Ferrari claimed GT Manufacturers' title already as well, although they were a bit off the pace today and couldn't really compete with Ford and Porsche. LMP2 Manufacturers' and Drivers' titles, GTE-Pro Drivers' title and GTE-Am Team and Drivers' titles will be all decided in the last round of the season in Bahrain in 2 weeks time.
  10. But you see Alan, the management IS the biggest problem and has been for quite a while now. Coach is just a casualty that gets the boot once things go wrong again after a short time of improvement. Poor choice of coaches, poor allocation of resources, poor squad planning. That was my point in the previous post - nothing is going to change significantly with a lasting effect as long as the management doesn't change. Either mentality-wise or personnel-wise.
  11. Nasr is going to race in IndyCar next season, but he's still not given up on returning to F1 in the future, apparently. Can't see a seat opening for him any time soon though... As for Senna, he's in WEC now, driving an LMP2 for Vaillante Rebellion team, so does Nelson Pique and Nico Prost too. Quite a competition for that Williams seat now... Kvyat, Kubica, Di Resta, Wehrlein.
  12. Good decision, it's better to go on his own instead of being booted out. So no Brazilian on the grid next season? Will be a first in a loooong time.
  13. That's nothing new', that's how it's been for the last 10 years already, we've been constantly underselling our key players and losing our best talents. Just overall poor management and poor decision making from the top to the bottom of the club.
  14. It's laughable, but serves as a good example to show the direction and the level of ambition (or lack of, rather) by the club. When your only serious options are apparently either a cheap internal solution with a U23 coach again (despite the fact that it backfired TWICE already) or Bruno Labbadia, you know that the sole interest of the board is to make money without any consideration for on-pitch success and to maintain the status quo, hence not allowing fresh wind from the outside and choosing to brew in their own juice instead. As long as this mentality remains, there will be no significant changes and no manager will be able to make any difference long-term. As for Kohfeldt in particular - I think the fact that he finally decided to make the last 2 substitutions on the 90th minute only and even defended this decision after the match says a lot about his ability to judge the situation and react to it, at least.
  15. But... I have Thomas' permission to stay at home and get drunk!
  16. But... but... Phnom Penh is extremely dangerous for my wallet And i hate crowds d
