Just ordered this: All these years and I never realised there actually was a sequel to Catch-22 I'm hearing that it's nowhere near as good, but I'll give it a go.

First They Killed My Father (2017) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4882376/ A movie directed by Angelina Jolie and based on a book of Cambodian author Loung Ung, depicting the horrors of the Khmer Rouge regime through the eyes of a child. Been waiting for this for quite a while, and it didn't disappoint - great sets and costumes, exquisite cinematography and amazing performances by virtually unknown Cambodian actors. The story might feel a bit underwhelming at times, but that is one of the reasons why the film really worked for me. Check it out, it's streaming on Netflix. 8/10

Yes, I was surprised how good it was, especially after it flopped in Germany, apparently. At any case, Season 2 a.k.a Deutschland 86 is now confirmed after it was picked up by Amazon and will be released some time in 2018! The new episodes will continue the story 3 years after the events in Season 1, with more Cold War action in Germany, South Africa, Libya and France. Season 3, named Deutschland 89, is apparently planned as well.

Deutschland 83 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4445154/ Released in 2015 (joint American and German production), I can't believe I only discovered it a few days ago. It's an 8-episode spy thriller set in a divided Germany in 1983, during a peak period for Cold War tensions between East and West. Great show, and the sequel should be released next year.

Yet another border dispute, yet another show of force. Nothing serious will come out of it; India and China are both aspiring superpowers and neither is going to jeopardize that by going to a full-scale war against the other. As Ignis said, trade is the key. I believe both are actually keeping the number of troops at the conflict area limited in order to avoid accidental armed clashes. India has 300 soldiers and a bulldozer, China has about the same.
