Decided to leave my job after 8 years back in July, it was a very tough choice. They were making cuts and redundancies across the company, i got offered a bump which is do an old job with a view that i'll be offered something when work picks back up. I refused and took the redundancy, the manager couldn't believe it as i was the only one in the company to leave on my terms, quite a lot got forced out. They wanted to keep me and i remember he said to me "avoid that job market like the plague" . It just felt like the right time for me. My colleagues and friends thought i was mad after how well i'd built myself up at that company and how highly thought of i was. I was just no longer waking up with that fire in my belly to go to work, it became too easy. And politics higher than me were holding me back. Which translates to i'm not a suck up and a yes man. My last day with them was the end of July but they were still paying me for the following 7 weeks untill mid September. I only properly applied for one job and after 3 interviews with them including a presentation i started my new job the 14th of September when the pay from my previous employer ended on the 11th. Completely different environment but it's exciting and i have loads to learn, as opposed to dong my old job with my eyes closed. The new job title is 'Production Supervisor' in a Medical cleanroom. It's very tough and the amount of information i have to learn is insane but it's been a good challenge so far.

Watched Menace 2 Society (1993) last night for the first time in a looooooong time. Good watch after all these years, a very good film, telling the brutal story of urban violence in America. 8/10.

Very! Frustrating almost... I didn’t want more as an audience... we actually needed more! Felt like it could have easily had a sequel. I was happy when I was right as I expected he was undercover. They wrote it to make you empathise with his character but I guessed he was undercover from early on, I was so happy with myself . It reminded me of Donnie Brasco, in the sense that he’s that deep in the mob life he’s one of them.

The first 4 games were on another level. I bought the re masters of them the Ezio trilogy and started them again after so many years. Such enjoyable games to play. I wish my ex would have watched me whilst playing instead of saying “come on you’ve been on that long enough now”

Eastern Promises Brilliant. It left me wanting more. It tells a story of a British/Russian nurse who ends up getting involved with the Russian Mafia in London. Without a doubt this is the best performance of Viggo Mortensen’s career. 9/10.

Eurgh... i unfollowed them on all platforms many moons ago. He is very good to watch. Sorry Villa fans, but you can't help but feel he should be challenging for higher honours at domestic level and playing in European Competitions.

I've taken up a semi passion for cooking during 2020. And i'm always looking for new things to learn/attempt to cook @nudge Some of the dishes you've posted look delicious! Did a classic 'Sunday dinner' yesterday, Chicken in a garliccy/lemony butter, honey roasted vegetables etc etc etc ... i spent hours on it, just for me and my daughter. Only for her to turn her nose up at it and say "smelly fooood daddee" and hardly eat any.

Since I last posted I was staying at the Sandman across from St James and had a weekend out in Newcastle and I met our very own Geordie.. Mr Danny Hays. I was absolutely smashed when i saw him and we didn't have a proper beer but will be doing in the future. Bloody love that City and those people
