Done Crash 4's flashback tapes and can't be arsed to do anymore of it now. I was tempted to start God of War but thought if I'm looking to get a PS5 in the future, that's a game that could look and play better on that, so held off on that for now. Decided to go back to smashing people's heads in (plus some detective work) by installing Judgment, the Yakuza spin off.

Anthem was basically dead upon arrival, most likely thanks to EA.
-
What sort of game was this again?
-
Yeah, just had a look and there wasn't a lot going other than Skyward Sword being remade and Splatoon 3 in 2022. The Smash fighter was a bit meh really.
-
I don't mind a challenge at all, but the amount of effort required to fully complete the game is not worth the hassle. I was looking at a video on YouTube and someone had mentioned that it took a good 68 hours to fully complete. 68 hours. For a Crash platformer. That's ridiculous. I'll look to do the Flashback tapes but that's it.
-
I hope not. Really don't need a Wii U style launch again.

Right, almost done with Crash 4 as much as I can be. I'm not going to '100%' the game as quite frankly, the amount of effort required to do that is utter bollocks. Very good game, but I'm seeing what the general consensus online is in that the actual gameplay is very good and arguably the best one since the original trilogy, but it's so ridiculously bloated that it becomes a chore. Quoting the above as I was considering God of War next, but I may have Super Mario 3D World on Switch in a couple of weeks time. Got a fair few to look at in fairness on PS4 and Switch.

All he's missing is Nintendo now.

In all honesty, you can probably tell that I just generally don't like EA, primarily the way they bastardise certain games or series (Command and Conquer, Dead Space, Timesplitters, Sim City and Burnout being some of them) then piss on those studios by closing them afterwards or picking the corpse. It's why acquisition s like this make you fear for the studio being bought really. Unfortunately, it's just a case of wait and see now I guess.

Didn't even know he was in Australia. Great sub appearance by the big man. I'll mention @JoshBRFC and @Carnivore Chris as they loved him as well.
-
They have, but knowing EA they'll want to add microtransactions or lock certain racers for more money (despite being in the games regardless). Also, I'm not fully sure but I think it's only the F1 games on a yearly basis. My concern is if they start to request yearly games of everything else with EA's bastardisation process in place as well.

Resi 2 remake is very good, with the only downer I had (not gameplay wise) is that the story doesn't make much sense due to how you progress in both games (if you've played both sides, you'll know what I mean). Not that Resi games were ever known for its story telling mind. I'm tempted on Last of Us 2 (especially as I really liked the first game), but not sure whether to go for that or Doom Eternal first (after my backlog has cleared a little).

In my very few games, it was definitely @Danny. He was West Ham and still parked the bus against my Rotherham ffs.
-
That's cos you used to park the bus ala Mourinho whenever I played you.
-
You have more chance of seeing Jesus Christ in the street than EA fixing something.

Again, I can't comment for England (though I'd imagine it wouldn't be any different), but my mam has a card with a future date for the second dose towards the end of April.
-
I understand the wastage bit but for my scenario, I think it was all arranged via invites (like with others) as they had them at the Cardiff City Stadium. Got no issues with them having it, but was getting a tad annoyed when they were having it and my nan (nearly 90) was still waiting for hers at the time.

I did enjoy the main trio in the series tbf and am considering it next. However, after smashing people's heads into a wall or stamping on their heads for four games straight in the Yakuza series (3-6), I needed something a bit 'lighter' as such.
-
Finishing Crash 4 first, then have a choice of the Spyro trilogy, Ultimate MK11, God of War, Horizon, Resi 7, Alien Isolation (which I did start but never finished), Judgment and Rise of the Tomb Raider (at least). I haven't had much of a chance during the pandemic as I've still been working etc.
-
Yeah, I've heard Ghosts is superb. Just got a bit of a backlog at present to think of much else at present.
-
I haven't played Control. I may have heard this wrong but I heard it played quite badly on base PS4's, which is what I have.
-
Didn't know where to put this, but I've put it in here as it's the only place where it can be reasonably on topic. Plus it's more light hearted and for a laugh really. There was an Amber alert (used for abducted or missing children) sent out in Texas three times, whereby they described the suspect as '28 years old, weighing 16 pounds and 3-foot-1, with red-auburn hair, blue eyes, wearing blue denim overalls with a striped long sleeve shirt and carrying a large knife'. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55925674 Oh dear.

Yeah, I'm hoping this will be the beginning of the end (or at least to be more controllable like the flu). Just be nice to see others again without fear of potentially carrying anything (had that possibility at the end of 2019). My nan had her first jab yesterday via a home visit, while my mam had hers last Sunday, so am happy that they've been sorted while the rest of my folks should have the jab in the next few months. My only concern (not sure what it's like in England) is the approach for vaccinations appears to be a tad inconsistent in Wales, as a few people I know in my old workplace in the NHS have had the jab and are only a couple of years older than me, with no underlying health conditions I'm aware of for most. All work in the same office as well (all administrative staff), though I wonder if a senior manager or director is pushing it for them more than anything.
-
Didn't even know there was another one. Any good? For me I'm finishing off Crash 4 (fuck getting full completion on that), then I'll decide what to play next from there. Got a few choices so will have a think.

EA to start ripping Codemasters apart before spitting out the corpse within a few years, as they've done before. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2021-02-03-ea-to-release-new-racing-game-every-year-after-codemasters-acquisition
