  1. Will be checking later as I'm on leave but have my work's laptop with me for assignment work. After the stockpiling, fighting and general cuntiness that has happened, I think we're the complete opposite to that.
  2. Starting to really piss me off as well. I was going to nip down to Tesco just to get a couple of Mother's Day stuff but really can't be arsed to deal with this sort of bullshit. The thick fucking cunts. My mam mentioned that her friend went into Aldi's and saw someone trying to buy a whole crate of baked beans. When staff informed them that they could only have four tins, they responded with 'what are us vegans supposed to eat?' Really have no time for these thick fucking cunts.
  3. Yeah I have heard. My sister only just left Australia on Thursday but didn't get tested when she got back to the UK.
  4. UK Government have announced fines of £1k or be detained if you refuse self-isolation. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/coronavirus/coronavirus-brits-face-£1000-fines-or-being-detained-if-they-refuse-self-isolation/ar-BB11dNYY?li=BBoPWjQ I wonder how long it'll be before people class this as a tax or something stupid like that.
  5. This isn't the only time it happens in the UK. People stockpile when there's the slightest amount of snow as well.
  6. Initially I think you got tested straight away. Now I think it falls into the self isolation period, though I'd like to think you'd get tested earlier based on the bold scenario as it makes more sense. The general idea I get is that they don't want to place a massive burden on an already struggling NHS (ie. you may show symptoms but may be perfectly fine after a week etc) regardless of where in the UK you are. Of course I could be completely wrong on this.
  7. Yes and no. The current advice is if you show the symptoms, you must self isolate for a week as you mentioned above. If it still persists after that period, then you ring 111 to be tested (I think). Personally, I find this a little bizarre as you could have easily passed it on by that point, especially if you have come from somewhere like Italy without showing any symptoms.
  8. My mate has been posting updates from the local Tesco nearby me. Absolutely ridiculous the amount of things that aren't in stock (especially as all the stuff the thick cunts are stockpiling are all things that require minimal effort to cook, the lazy thick cunts).
  9. Those who do this are just thick cunts anyway. First world problems and all that. And cheers as well @Inti Brian. Wales hasn't been too badly hit as of yet, though has had a sharp increase in the last day or so.
  10. Fuck sake. I'll have to send some over to you at this rate.
  11. We've actually done one in work. I'm now convinced that I'm going to hell.
  12. Don't worry. I'm watching football highlights for the umpteenth time. Ah well. Chess online tomorrow.
  13. Tbf, with no sport and everyone being told to stay away from everyone else, it's about the only thing you can do.
  14. Interesting as I haven't really heard anything from the EU themselves and all countries seem to be doing their own thing in general.
  15. I'll be absolutely amazed if that even got close to happening.
  16. And now cancelled, saying that 'given the fluid and unprecedented nature of this issue a postponement became the only viable option'. Basically, they're saying that they're fucking useless as they had no intention of cancelling until many others did.
  17. Wales vs. Scotland to go ahead tomorrow, with the WRU mentioning that they have 'enhanced facilities for hand washing and sanitisation at the stadium'. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/wru-break-silence-defend-decision-17916759
  18. They were happy to play games this weekend until they were backed into a corner. Looking to be announced that games will be suspended for a month. Also, I'm curious as to what the EU have done to try and contain the spread. Haven't heard a peep from them.
  19. Strangely, I've read something similar here. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/51859553 This strikes me as strange as we're being told not to shake hands, be within certain distance of people etc, yet the chances of being infected at large events (which, last I checked, involved people being close to you) is........... low?
  20. Tbh, my knowledge of politics is very minimal in general, but it's the sheer hypocrisy that does my head in with them. Happy to criticise others yet do similar themselves. I've sent @DeadLinesman to America with a few petrol cans and a lighter. Have a nice day.
  21. Without trying to turn this into a political argument, the Welsh (Labour) Government have a habit of this sort of thing just to be 'unique', 'the first' or simply be 'different' to the UK Government, even when it makes no sense whatsoever. I've been tempted to make a thread around the Welsh Government but that's for another time.
  22. Welsh health minister Vaughan Gething has announced that schools will stay open and the Six Nations match between Wales and Scotland in Cardiff will still go ahead.
