  1. I liked my original Xbox and the 360 in fairness, but the focus fully towards the Kinect towards the end of the 360's life, the lack of exclusives worth having at the time and the bullshit that Microsoft have when the One was announced did it for me this gen. However, I do think they've picked up as we head towards the new gen consoles and hopefully that'll continue. They also get praise for letting me play Cuphead on Switch.
  2. I'll have to hang fire over this myself. The concern I have is if Microsoft pull the same sort of stunt they did when they announced the Xbox One with all the DRM bollocks, the mandatory Kinect requirement etc.
  3. Though it's a prequel, I'd start with 0 first as it gives the story in Kiwami a bit more behind it. I'll also state that it's a slow burner as well, but gets going as you progress.
  4. I don't have an Xbox but do admit that the more I hear about Gamepass and what's added to it, the more I get incredibly jealous, especially as PS Now by comparison is laughable. Also, cheap advertising. The Yakuza games are due to go onto Gamepass in the next few days.
  5. Managed to finish Pokémon Sword in the end and actually quite enjoyed it, despite some of the shortcomings such as the animation being stiff and the graphics effectively being a more high-res 3DS game. Doing a bit of assignment work now but hoping to get the Yakuza remastered collection for my birthday in a couple of weeks. Yakuza 3, 4 and 5, then buying 6, got Judgment waiting and then 7 out some time this year. Deary me.
  6. River Taff has caused a fair amount of flooding in Pontypridd and Nantgarw, both only a short drive from where I am. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-51520986 Some pics in the link.
  7. Eurogamer are reporting it too. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020-01-26-eas-reportedly-working-on-a-star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-reboot Never actually played KOTOR so could be tempted. However.... This is what puts me off again. Anything under EA's money grabbing cuntery immediately gets a caution from me.
  8. I think Sony are pretty much looking at Nintendo and seeing that the Directs are doing the job without any need for them to be at E3. The last couple for both Microsoft and Sony have been quite poor at E3 to boot.
  9. Haven't played much over Christmas due to holiday, feeling crappy and assignment work. Hoping to get back onto Pokémon Sword soon though, especially as this year is going to be ridiculous for games methinks.
  10. If Brewster doesn't score against our shower of shite on Sunday, Liverpool should sell him immediately and re-sign David N'Gog as punishment.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-50981359 Looks like vegans could shortly have the same protection as ethnic minorities under the Equality Act. Laughable really.
  12. I know this is geeky but anyone hoping for certain games tomorrow?
  13. Done my vote. Very easy decision.

In all honesty, it probably is to some extent.

  14. The first did have a remake, albeit back on the Gamecube days, and is generally available as well more widely. Capcom might be thinking that it's not quite time to look at that just yet. As for RE3, it'll be interesting to see how they pull this off as they could have arguably set the stage for this with the Mr. X scenarios from the RE2 remake. Nemesis was supposed to be an unstoppable monster and always hunting you down after all.
  15. The wild area is the only real new thing in comparison to the core game (get first pokemon, get eight badges, fight a rival and beat the elite four). Since this is your first one since Red though, it can feel much more daunting.
  16. We could trade as well, though I haven't done a whole lot at present.
  17. I started playing it a week or two ago and I don't mind it despite the criticism the game has had. Haven't played it recently mind as I've been busy with work and assignments. Hoping to have more of a go as we go into Christmas.
  18. For anyone interested, Rayman Legends is currently free on the Epic Game Store. Though the game is fairly old, I'd strongly recommend playing this if you like 2D platformers. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-11-29-rayman-legends-is-currently-free-on-the-epic-store
  19. @Mel81x, after hearing the praise it has been getting, I may be tempted in the future. However, though I've said it before, I just have this niggling feeling that EA are going to fuck it up in some way.
  20. For those with the Gamepass on Xbox, they've announced that Yakuza 0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2 will be part of it. Though it's a niche series and looks and feels last gen (Yakuza 0 was originally a PS3 game after all, with the other two getting the remake treatment), I strongly recommend giving 0 at least a go. It's a slow burner but it's one of the most fun games I've played in a long time.
  21. So Fortnite has now added Skill Based matchmaking (which I thought is usually the case in the vast majority of online games) and some poxy YouTuber has said he's against this because 'it's puts you against similar skilled players to help you improve and when you do, it puts you up against better players. I'm not a fan, this is the worst addition ever and it's killing the game'. Ummmmm............... what? https://uk.ign.com/articles/2019/11/11/fans-are-divided-over-fortnites-skill-based-matchmaking
  22. Not bad, though some of them (such as Breath of the Wild and Horizon Zero Dawn) I would class under adventure rather than RPG. Also, no Paper Mario (N64) makes me very sad.
  23. A mate of mine has it and also said it's very good. Unfortunately, I've got assignments to do for work so haven't got a lot of time at present.
