Unless we think we can hold out for more, I think this could be a mistake as though he's done well for us, Etheridge's distribution is poor and Smithies is a good replacement already. £7m for a player we got for nothing could have been good business.

I think you can get more money out of West Ham, who look pretty desperate for a keeper with Fabianski injured again.
