Eco Posted February 9, 2020 Author Share Posted February 9, 2020 My first year I went with team, but I think I'm more driver. Obviously love Riccarido, and can't help but like Max. I found myself very happy when Gasly got the podium last year after the crazy year he had, and then while he doesn't add much personality wise, I do find myself liking Gio. I mean I always had a soft spot for Sauber and always want them to do well but I still focus on individual drivers first and foremost. There are teams that I sympathize with, especially Sauber, but I'm more a fan of individual character, personality etc. when it comes to F1. Polarising figures with a lot of self-confidence and determination (and in Max's case also quite a bit of hotheadedness and a lot of typical Dutch bluntness) but for me it's a typical characterisation of most top athletes - I do understand that they might come across as arrogant to some people though. Also funny thing I noticed about Max - he comes across completely differently in his interviews in English compared to the ones in German or Dutch. Wait you're saying Kimi's arrogant too? He is a great driver, and the Netflix series leads you to believe he is an ass hole and him and DR are enemies...but the more you look, the more you see that him and Danny are actually friends.
