A new series from the creators of Dark in the works...

“The original series revolves around a migrant steamship heading west to leave the old continent from London to New York. The passengers, a mixed bag of European origins, are united by their hopes and dreams for the new century and their future abroad. When they discover another migrant ship adrift on open sea, their journey takes an unexpected turn. What they find on board will turn their passage to the promised land into a horrifying nightmare.”

Also, Andreas Pietschmann :o

Agreed. Looks intriguing.

And Andreas Pietschmann was my favourite actor in Dark.

I hope it's at least half as good as Dark; that would be a massive achievement already.

This teaser for the teaser was also released a while ago:

Some interesting images...

This symbol seems to be repeating in many scenes:

Man, I'm already excited xD

Wow, looks.... like quite a big I don't know what to call it. Undertaking? Very ambitious. Probably a real mindfuck again. xD

"All Along the Watchtower" though. :x

It is supposed to be by far more complex than Dark, apparently. And it does look ambitious indeed! Smells like a story of a grand scale...

That's kind of want I wanted to say! xD

A lot of languages in that too. Must be (even more) shit dubbed. They all probably speak the same language then.

Yeah, I can't imagine how a dubbed version would work.

I personally love it when the shows go extra mile trying to be more authentic like that! Multiple languages, detailed costumes, well-researched settings, etc.

Definitely. That one guy in the trailer was even speaking Yiddish, no? That's a very interesting language. Because as a German you understand a lot of it, but also not. xD

Just finished the first episode. Eerie as fuck. First 15 Minutes I thought this might not be my cup of tea, but then it reeled me in. Very dark, mysterious and intriguing. Also very cool to hear so many languages in one episode. First episode alone had English, German, Polish, French, Spanish, Danish, Cantonese... 😅

I don't know. Maybe I wanted to dislike it so I don't have to watch yet another series. xD

And yea, the tea drinking scene was definitely some sort of forshadowing.

And who the fuck is that bug guy?

I will continue tomorrow.

Still only spoilers for Episode 1:

I find it interesting because Scarab is the archetypical symbol of death and resurrection/rebirth in Jungian psychology. And of course in Egyptian mythology originally - which is probably the case here, given the pyramid and triangle shapes literally everywhere. Both ship names are also from Greek mythology. It has to be highly symbolic...

Oh and

I think the kid and the weirdo scarab guy are exactly the same person.
