nudge Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 Anyone else a fan? World Cup currently underway, Norway very impressive, with Granerud leading after 20 of 28 events.
Administrator Stan Posted February 14, 2021 Administrator Posted February 14, 2021 Not a fan but when I was younger I used to watch a programme here called Ski Sunday and I was obsessed with Ski Jumping I think I was in awe at how they take off and pretty much fly for all of 10-15 seconds. It's quite an art!

Don't know how he managed to save it... He seemed to be very shaken by it, too.

nudge Posted December 29, 2021 Author Posted December 29, 2021 Kobayashi takes the first hill. Severin Freund disqualified for alleged irregularities in his suit Karl Geiger 5th.
Moderator Tommy Posted December 29, 2021 Moderator Posted December 29, 2021 I used to watch Ski Jumping back in the day. I saw Sven Hannawald making history by winning all four hills. Haven't watched anything recently, but I usually keep an eye on how the Germans are doing.

Hannawald is a legit adrenaline junkie, after retiring from ski jumping, he became a racing driver Actually did pretty well, too. I am not a hardcore Ski Jumping fan, but I find it very relaxing to watch.
Moderator CaaC (John) Posted December 29, 2021 Moderator Posted December 29, 2021 Did skiing in my army days but not ski jumping, I would imagine if it was the big thing then and our regiment allowed it I would have tried it, I loved the skiing exercises in Bavaria in 74.
