There is one book that I thought was just him trying to prove to the world how smart he is, but overall I really enjoy his writing and how he writes a story wrapped around complex topics and ideas. For me, it depends. I'm a big fan of hard scifi, and I love Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy, which goes so deep into detail that it should really be a manual How to Colonise Mars 101 I also loved Joules Verne's books with pages-long scientific and technical descriptions. But Stephenson doesn't really work for me

To each their own, but now I'm going to look up Kim Stanley Robinson. haha
Azeem Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 Will be sharing poetry I like, translated. Lenin before God How could've I known that you were or were not ! Everytime changing were my puzzling thoughts Now the eye sees and this world is proved Which I thought was the Cathedral's silly talk If the permission can I ask this one thing ? Which even made the wisest men to pause As long as I lived beneath this sky It sting like a thorn in my sight Who is that Adam that you are of God ? That Adam of clay who is right now being talked ? In beauty, In hustle and In stature Much better than the Cathedral were the Banks shiny halls Trading in apparent; Gamble in reality Usury is a plague that kills millions If not all ! This knowledge This wisdom and This governance First drink their blood and say equality for all ! Death of the heart is the rule of machines Feelings of humanity are squashed into the wall You are all knowing and seeing but in your world Very cruel are the workers long hours ! When will the sun set on the capitalist's horizon ? The world awaits for your one final call
Eco Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 Been doing a ton of writing as of late. I'm not sure if it's the season, or the chaos that surrounds me at the moment, but my artistic side has really come out recently. With writing, painting, and the piano, it's been a lot of time spent making sense out of the craziness that is life. With that being said, the writing has gone well I think. I am working on a short story that I've had working in the mind for awhile now, and then also I'm still working on my novel which is loosely based on a reoccurring nightmare I had growing up.

Dr. Gonzo Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 I've always wanted to write stuff... but I think I am a pretty shit writer. It's really easy for me to just ramble on and on. I've tried to write songs - but I think I'm shit at that too ... especially the lyrics.

Azeem Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Why do poets in all languages talk about their fair 'youth' lover in such gender ambiguous way? Some of it looks like borderline paedophilia
