Eco
These continue this weekend, with some of our teams participating. Tue, Sept 21 MSV Duisburg vs Cronenberger Wed, Sept 22 Fortuna Bottrop vs RW Essen Imagine it'll be near impossible to find a stream for the RWE match, but we all know that I'll damn near try everything possible to find one. @Faithcore - You going to the match? Eco
RWE about to kick off in just over 20 minutes. No TV, but I am listening to the local radio for it so it'll be almost better.

Subscriber Coma+ Posted September 24, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted September 24, 2021 I would love to see Essen come back up to the 3 Liga this year. They got shafted last year with Dortmund's II team beating them out for top spot. That's one thing about the English model that I do like... the reserve teams have their own league. Yeah - we had a loooonnnnggg discussion about this on here. RWE in 3 Liga would be absolute class.
Rucksackfranzose
5th tier club Tus Mechtersheim won 2-1 versus Kaiserslautern and eliminated them from Südwest-Pokal. It's always nice to see the red devils lose some games.

Rucksackfranzose
Surprises at Bayern-Pokal semis: 4th tier clubs Aubstadt and Ilertissen won versus 3.Liga clubs 1860 München and Würzburg, respectively and went through to the final.
Rucksackfranzose
Aaand another upset. Oberliga (5th tier) club Einheit Wernigerode have beaten 3.Liga club Halle in Sachsen-Anhalt-Pokal semis and qualified for the final. Since their opponent in this match will be Magdeburg, who are almost guaranteed to finish on one of the 3.Liga top 4 spots, Wernigerode will be taking part in next season's DFB-Pokal. Subscriber Coma+ Posted March 28, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted March 28, 2022 This may have already been discussed, but has there been a case where a reserve team knocked out the first team in the cup? I read that reserve teams were allowed to compete up until 2008.

What did happen though, is Hertha BSC II reaching the DFB-Pokal final versus Leverkusen in 1993, while their first team were knocked out beforehand. Rucksackfranzose
Balls! We're out of Saarland-Pokal. Have to finish on one of the top 4 spots now, if we want to play in DFB-Pokal next season. Which is exactly what I want.

Rucksackfranzose
The first matches are finished. Teams qualified for next season's DFB-Pokal in bold. Niedersachsen (RL + 3.Liga) SW Rehden 1-0 Meppen Hessen Steinbach 0-1 Offenbacher Kickers Sachsen-Anhalt Einheit Wernigerode 0-5 Magdeburg (since Magdeburg finshed 3.Liga on a top 4 spot, they're qualified anyway. and Wernigerode as runners-up take part in next season's DFB-Pokal) Hamburg Altona 93 1-2 Teutonia Ottensen Berlin Altglienicke 1-2 Viktoria Berlin Rheinland Engers 1-0 Karbach Südbaden Donaueschingen 0-2 Oberachern Baden Türkspor Mannheim 0-3 Waldhof Mannheim (shame, would've been great for the 7th tier club, to have a chance to play a cup match versus a big club) Brandenburg Krieschow 0-2 Energie Cottbus Thüringen Carl Zeiss Jena 1-0 Meuselwitz Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Neustrelitz p2-1 Greifswald Schleswig-Holstein TSB Flensburg 2-3p Lübeck Saarland Homburg 1-2 et Elversberg Südwest Schott Mainz 3-0 Pirmasens Mittelrhein Fortuna Köln 0-2 Viktoria Köln Niederrhein Straelen 1-0 Wuppertal Sachsen Chemnitz 2-1 Sachsen Leipzig Westfalen Münster 1-2p Rödinghausen Niedersachsen (Amateure) Heeslingen 0-1p BW Lohne Bremen Bremer SV 1-0 Leher TS Bayern Illertissen p2-1 Aubstadt Württemberg Stuttgarter Kickers p1-0 Ulm
